Maybe a tip of the iceberg but justice has been served.

Jane Fonda was spit in the face by a US Vet. Rock on Mr Michael A. Smith. The article says she has previously apologized for sitting in an anti aircraft gun in Nam but I don't believe this. It's nothing compared to other things she has done such as ratting on POW's while they were looking to her in desperation for help.

That rumor has been thoroughly debunked, btw.

I have trouble with spitting in people's faces, whether they are on the left, right or center. And the fact that he ran off after doing so shows he wasn't exactly interested in standing resolutely behind his actions.

You just made my day! I tried to FReep her Monday at one of her Texas apperances and she never came out of the back room. I have a feeling they were expecting something like this incident to happen since North Texas is a rather conservative area all the cops that night were very antsy.
Hey Meekie, I think we have a new hero!!!

I agree. Spitting in someone's face is a detestable act for anyone.

I think we have to be prepared for the comparison to the recent pie-throwing incidents against conservatives. Apples and oranges in many ways, but spitting is not the kind of protest I'd choose.
Fonda has received much, much better than she ever deserved from this country, IMO. Maybe it's better to just let her twist in the wind, unable to sell her crummy little book, rather than create sympathy for her.

I'm sorry, but I do not accept that this has been debunked. I have read section in a book by a former POW, and one of my buddies spent 6.5 years in the Hanoi Hilton. Here is the quote from a post on FR.
I don't know where it could have been debunked. I read a/the book that tells the story from a guy that stood in the line and passed the note (or maybe he was quoted). I am a diehard skeptic of all that is outrageous and found it indisputable. He is quoted. In fact, the same book talks about how torture increased and the notes were read back to the POWs. It alleges that at least one POW died as a result of the increased intensity of the torture. There was also a documentary a few years back on Discovery or History Channel about it.

Well, on behalf of conservatives everywhere who know what damage the "anti war" demonstrators did to the nations of Vietnam and Cambodia after the US pulled out -- I still have to apologize to Jane Fonda for this foolish act of spitting tobacco juice in her face. What was this man trying to accomplish? Better that he try to engage her for a moment as a vet in pain than take his pain out on her.
Anyway, any conservative Christian should be praying for Jane, not spitting on her. Anyone recall what St. Paul was doing to people before his Damascus road experience?

It has? You got any proof to back that up? I'm assuming you're referring to the incident where POW's tried to pass her notes while she was "visiting" them in the Hanoi Hilton.

She did NOT apologize. Her words were "I deeply regret sitting on that AA gun". That is not an apology. She could regret it because it has brought a lot of hell into her life( and deserved, BTW). She could have regreted it because she can't find a movie role.
She needs to say " I apologize to every GI, every person in the country, every etc etc etc". Even then I'm not taking an apology from the bitch.
