I have trouble with spitting in people's faces, whether they are on the left, right or center. And the fact that he ran off after doing so shows he wasn't exactly interested in standing resolutely behind his actions.
I agree. Spitting in someone's face is a detestable act for anyone.
I think we have to be prepared for the comparison to the recent pie-throwing incidents against conservatives. Apples and oranges in many ways, but spitting is not the kind of protest I'd choose.
Fonda has received much, much better than she ever deserved from this country, IMO. Maybe it's better to just let her twist in the wind, unable to sell her crummy little book, rather than create sympathy for her.
I agree, that was uncalled for. AND she has apologised many times. I am not a fan of hers nor do I trust or respect her, but it seems to me it is time to let it go.
I disagree strongly. This guy is just as much a thug as the pie throwers. They should all be in prison. Oppression of free speech is always bad.
Besides, this gives Jane what she wants - aging, washed up actress and 60's commie in the headlines and generating controversy. The best punishment for her is to ignore her. She's irrelevant.
