Besides, this gives Jane what she wants - aging, washed up actress and 60's commie in the headlines and generating controversy. The best punishment for her is to ignore her. She's irrelevant.

This goes beyond freedom of speech. What was done to the pie throwers to make them throw pies vs what was done to the Vet that caused him to spit are probably much different circumstances.
