Fonda, 67, spoke at Unity Temple, in The Plaza shopping district, about her new book, "My Life So Far" and her new movie with Jennifer Lopez called "Monster-In-Law."
At about 9 p.m., police said a man who had been waiting in line for about 90 minutes, passed a book to Fonda and then spit a large amount of tobacco juice into her face.

Fonda declined to prosecute the man for allegedly spitting in her face.
Michael A. Smith, 54, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, which is a city charge.

I've just signed up for an emergency rally for 5 p.m. next Wednesday to stop the Republican judicial takeover, as part of a national MoveOn PAC day of action. (Not only that, I signed up to be the media coordinator so I'm calling on all my friends and fellow progressives to help create a large presence!) At last count there were more than 80 events taking place in cities all over the country.
Any day now, Radical Republicans are hoping to seize absolute power to appoint Supreme Court justices who favor right-wing, corporate-biased interests over the rest of us. Please help me send a message to Senators to support fair judges and defend the Supreme Court.

Why are you repeating yourself? Are you trying to get someone's attention? Everyone on here is disgusted by Jane Fonda and feels she is a traitor to her country. Haven't YOU read the entire thread?
Get a grip! The woman met with the enemy and betrayed our men who were prisoners of war. She should have been tried for treason!

But the really amazing thing to me is this ridiculous moveon pac solicitation that you posted (with no explanation) on this thread. When I checked out your profile page and your posting history, you appear to be on the level here, but your posts on this thread cause me to suspect that someone slipped some LSD into your salad at lunch or your identity has been stolen by a troll.
I'd strongly suggest backing down. You are hardly in a position to make such accusations of long-time posters.
