A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

You must be about a 7.5 which is the average shoe size now. Yep. 7.5 or a 7. I guess we are at the stage in our lives where comfort comes first. When I was younger I would torture my feet in shoes just because they were SO cute and fashionable. Now, I don't care. If my feet I hurt I hurt all over.
Personally, I prefer going barefooted whenever I can get away with it. :-)

6. I went shopping in Charleston with Aquamarine.
I wish! :)Me too!
That reminds me, here's a painting (print) we bought at The Market
Oh.....I LIKE that! Our taste is similar, I think. In our rushed trip through The Market I saw a booth that had prints like that, and would have liked to have looked at them, *sigh* but there was no time.
I am gathering up some of the photos we took while there. I haven't forgotten. :-)

Today at work, I had the opportunity to attend a presentation by LTC Scott Rutter It was great to hear him speak and his presentation was very good. There were protestors outside of the building, they later came up to the area where the presentation was. Scott Rutter was asked if they can come in, and he welcomed them....signs and all.
Towards the end of the presentation, Mr. Rutter took questions. One of the last to raise their hand during this time was an Army soldier who served in Iraq. He wanted to let the protestors know that it is their right to protest, thanks to the Military. He got very emotional, brought tears to my eyes.
I met some of the members from the Republican Club and thanked them for being involved. Told them it was refreshing to know there are some other folks on campus that think like I do :-)
Bless our Military, I am so very proud of them and thankful to all.

Thanks for the link to the article about LTC Scott Rutter.
I am so proud of our military too. Where would we be without them?
Thanks for sharing your day with us, (((((((Colleen))))))). It's always nice to know we're not alone, isn't it? That is what is so great about this website too. :-)

FR is a life saver, knowing there are folks that share many of the same views as I have.

Used to kick and struggle, but learned it is
for my own good - and really relaxing!
(Pleez note I am much bigger - mostly black -
and have gorgeous medium long hair,
now clean and fluffy!)

Oh, no! I got a red x! I really want to see that picture, I'm sure it is a good one.
Bear and Jackie say hello to fluffy, clean Binky Boy!
BTW, I just happen to have a picture of you, Binky Boy. Beautiful you are!
To: LadyX
Okay, NOW I see the picture. LOL
To: Mama_Bear
That was "Young Binky" -- he's now about 3 times that big, and in winter, his hair is really thick and long -- loves to hang on "His" Screened Porch (13'x 22') and pretend he's really outside among the birds.
He came to us declawed (niece worked 12 hour shifts as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, and couldn't let him claw up the house or let him out), so he cannot go outside, unprotected and defenseless.
Since Snuggles Kitty died 4 years ago and he's 8 now, he's become quite calm and sedate.
Still, though, loves to 'talk' to us, and sing with me!
