OK..here's what we know..Senate is in recess for the weekly party caucus luncheons. Supposed to resume at 2:15. on C-span 2.. The Foreign Relations committee is supposed to meet at 2:45 to vote on the Bolton nomination. Lugar has refused requests for a delay. Just before the Senate recessed, Reid objected to Frist's UC request for the Froeign Relations committee to meet today. Frist withdrew his request..
I just watched this ....display on Cspan, I missed it today.
I'm to the point where I would rather vote for a losing conservative candidate than a winning RINO. Myabe it's just the welling up at the anger, but for pete's sake, we've had congress for a decade, and the democrats can still run the place whenever they feel like it!
I really wish we had a third party, a Conservative Party...in places where the Rep is a Conservative, we'd support him, in cases where the Rep is a RINO, we can run our own Conservative candidate...just one election cycle would remind these bums who really elects them.
I'm just venting right now, but after watching this, I feel like voting Libertarian, or gasp! Green in 2006 congressional races. Arrrgh....
Most excellent composition!
How about the "Free Republic Party"---
Using the "platform" that Jim Robinson set down when he started this site--pro-live, and all.....
I could join the Free Republic Party---that would be kewl!!!
I think the RINOS are enjoying the attention they get.
I say we give them some real exposure...in their home areas...so the constituents will know to vote for real republicans.
Here in Texas....we have huge RINO problem growing in the Capitol.
Too many lawyers in Austin.
I totally agree with you.........REALLY raise their profiles and bring attention to their obstruction, just like we did Daschle.
Works for me
I don't recall Biden having any qualms about Clinton's ADMITTED lying and PROVEN sexual harassment.
LOL! Definately sounds like a conspiracy theory. And a well thought out one too!
Clearly, the Democrats came up with some very juicy dirt on this sick scumbag Voinivich. If the Republicans don't know what it is, they better find out, like yesterday. Put a whole team of investigators on it and then tell this scumbag that either they can go public with the dirt or the rats can go public - - his choice.
Somebody has to spank that corrupt p.o.s. until he's bawling like a baby.
Bolton is no lifetime appointment or anything. In reality, he will only be UN Ambassador for the next three-and-a-half years and that's it. Then he's gone. So why wouldn't Dubya simply bide his time and then make a recess appointment? Problem solved.
IMO, the question regarding the UN should be, rather than arguing about an ambassador, we should be planning a republican alternative organization, and subsequently resigning from the UN and throwing their corrupt asses out of US sovereign territory.
By being timid, we are being lured into the ongoing Democrat trap. There is still time to recover, however:
Focus on the judicial appointments.
Jam the "Constitutional Option" down their throats.
Convince the conservative justices that it is OK to retire, and then ramrod conservative SCOTUS and other judicial appointees through the process.
If we don't get this after achieving the majority we have, what good does Republican majority (and all of our effort and donations) bring?
That was my question, also! If Voinovich is so busy and so tied up on other committees, maybe he is just too busy to be on this one.
That 60% consists of bill and hillary and any friends that are still alive!
Hmmm, good point. I guess there is no end to the double standard.
>>.what has Voinovich been doing?<<
$$$$$$
I cannot imagine anything short of major surgery that should have kept Voinovich from being ready to vote yesterday!
I will be phoning his office (as soon as a line is free) to ask that very question!
His voice mailbox is still full as of 7:45 am est.
I will keep trying throughout the day though.
