If nothing else, Ted Nugent isn't going to have to relinquish his "Motor City Madman" nickname any time in the near future.
In a speech given to the National Rifle Association's national convention in Houston, Nugent brandished a pair of assault rifles while urging NRA members to recruit other gun-packing nuts into the gang. He went so far as to urge NRA members not to associate with non-members, and to become "hardcore, radical extrimists."
Siezed by a Second Amendment furor, Nugent then whipped up the crowd condoning shoot-to-kill vigalante justice. The spectacle, urged members to pull their heat and kill a variety of criminals, from child molesters to carjackers.
"No court case. No parole. No early release!" he screamed.
Nugent's disdain for the American judcicial system is a fresh development. March 30, the judicial system awarded him $100 thousand in damages after the Muskegon Summer Celebrataion in Michigan pulled him from its June 2003 bill. Organizers yanked Nugent from the bill after a May 2003 interview on Denver's 103.5 KRFX radio station, when he used a racial slur in a quote attributed to one of the Funk Brothers -- whom were named by Nugent as one of his all time heroes in the interview.

...while urging NRA members to recruit other gun-packing nuts..." How comes it that we never hear anything about "freedom of speech nuts" or "separation of chruch/state fanatics." Always "gun nuts!"
It's the same document. Does adherence to one part trump adherence to another part, or is it... MSM bias again?

The way the laws are, you had better be very careful in the use of lethal force, else you will quickly have a new roommate in the Many Bar Hotel.Exactly that is why we need to get all gun grabbing scum out of elected office. especially the proscuters office nationwide. If you exercice your right to life by defendig yourself and others from violent crime you should never be at risk of going to prison and in a free country that would never be possible we need to make this a free country again and in order to do thatwe haveto get rid of every one of the 20,000 unconstitutional gun laws that are on the books nationwide

MY only lament is that, of those few people who actually end up having to shoot in self-defense, most haven't spent nearly enough time at the range.
If circumstances are bad enough to warrant firing a gun at some would-be perp to defend yourself, they're bad enough to warrant shooting to kill. If that's not ice-cold Law in your State; keep kicking your legislature in the crotch until they fix it.

...shoot-to-kill vigalante justice... So, in this liberals mind no one should ever oppose violence being initiated against them? We should just lay there and take it?
No thanks. What kind of self hating moral cripple would even suggest such a thing? Fighting criminal behavior should be everyones business.

My brother heard about the Nuge's call for ten recruitments and bugged me about joining one more time about it. Now I'm going for the easy-pay Lifer membership.

I agree, self defense laws have gone too far to the other side. One has to not only protect himself, but in the heat of battle, make very precise judgements on lethal force. This is the law however, and we should know it, follow it carefully, to be able to defend ourselves against both an attacker and the inevitable criminal and civil legal action.
There are a lot of misconceptions out there, particularly about "consensual fighting" and use of lethal force in self-defense.
