He was in Dallas, a parade... or maybe a motorcade. Killed in cold blood.
Was he behind the grassy knoll or the picket fence?
Nope. Dissilusioned with that whole clan. However, I did feel sad when he died and out of simple respect and manners for someone who died horribly...I think your remark was tasteless.
By the way, Camelot was a word coined by Jacqueline Kennedy AFTER President Kennedy's death. I believe I am right about that but will check my books. Perhaps someone else with more knowledge on the subject can shed more light on it.
Way before my time. What remark was that?

You are absolutely correct. Jackie began perpetuating the myth based on the title song from the musical "Camelot" and the MSM took over.
I love how Oliver Stone has "Guy Bannister" toasting Kennedy's death right after the assassination in the film "JFK" by saying, "Camelot in smithereens. I'll drink to that." What a maroon.
This is great! It means we'll land the first men on the moon in about 4 years, I was too young to remember the first one.
And Texxon is there!
Buahahaha
Great one
Tks.
Your remark was your title about the assination because evidently you thought the Pope was getting too much attention.
I didn't see Oliver Stones "rendition" of JFK and never would. We LIVED that time. We VOTED for JFK. We CRIED when he was assinated. That was it. Many years later we found out who he really was and felt betrayed. That said...we still feel bad as we reflect back on that horrible day, the funeral, the sadness in our whole world.
Camelot...I know where it came from. I also know it was coined by Jacqueline and therefore picked up by the idiot news media (of which are falling by the wayside as we speak)...being put out of business by the internet and outlets like Free Republic.
The Kennedy time is over. It was and never will be again. However, it was still a TASTELESS and unnecessary headline on a day of joy for millions of others. I can't imagine why you or anyone else would have such a need to jump in there with something so totally irrelevant and unrelated to a story that was the headline of the day. But...that's what makes the world go round I guess. However, I was brought up better and was taught manners and respect.
I didn't post this thread. My first post was on the 22nd, way after the pope's selection. Sorry. It's my username isn't it? :-)
As far as the new pope goes, he's just a man. He certainly doesn't warrant the the entire world stopping to pay homage to him.
As far as the Pope goes he's just a man to YOU. We Catholics never asked the whole world to pay homage....the whole world OFFERED to pay homage. Don't know why we are even speaking so I'll say goodbye and Long Live the Pope.
JFK LINKS,
THANKS.
