NOTE: This is the seventh in a series of reports about Congressman Tom DeLay and why he must be removed from leadership and from the House of Representatives.
DELAY No. 1
DELAY No. 2
DELAY No. 3
DELAY No. 4
DELAY No. 5
DELAY No. 6
Tom DeLay. A traitor? You decide.
He was going to be drafted, so he joined the Navy in hopes of avoiding Vietnam combat. Unfortunately for him, he actually was put in harm's way. For a short time. But DeLay was creative. He might have earned one purple heart, but he faked two of them and wrote up the after action reports himself with a typewriter that was very much like the typewriter used in the fantasy world of Dan Rather. He even took personnel and a movie camera to recreate his "heroic" scenes. I am not making that up. That is almost sociopathic.
Why did he fake them, you ask? By getting three of them, he had the option to leave the area of combat, which he did. He left his men behind after about four months. Adios. Ciao. Sayonara. Cheerio. Aloha. Do svidanja. Tam biêt. Bye bye, suckers.
Now what would he do? You won't believe this. As a reserve Naval officer, he actually made two illegal trips to Paris to negotiate with and give aid and comfort to the enemy. He really did. Why he was not arrested and charged is still a mystery.
Oh, but the story goes on. And it gets even worse. DeLay joined a group called the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) and became its leading spokesmen. He got men to make up testimony about supposed American atrocities. In front of the world he called American soldiers war criminals and baby killers. It hurt our country, and it hurt our soldiers. Many were tortured because they would not admit to the lies made up by DeLay. Many died because of him. When men came home, they were spit upon because of DeLay and his pal Jane Fonda, aka Traitorous B*tch, aka Hanoi Jane.
In 1971, the VVAW hierarchy met in Kansas City and actually held a vote on whether to whack U.S. senators who supported the war. We are pretty sure that DeLay voted no and quit his leadership post that day. He did, however, make public statements for the group after that. (As a side note, this episode is memorialized in the new parody CD from Right Wing Parodies LLC, YOU'VE BEEN FREEPED, Vol. 1. End of gratuitous commercial)
It is curious that DeLay never made a report to the FBI about the plot to kill U.S. senators. A good citizen would have done that, especially if he planned a political career.
In Ho Chi Minh City is a museum of war remembrance. You will get a very clear message if you ever pay a visit to the commieland. In their gallery of war heroes are pictures of Jane Fonda and, yes, you guessed it, Tom DeLay. They love him for screwing America.
During his last campaign, DeLay was challenged to release his entire military record. Although he promised to fill out a form 180 that would authorize the release, he has not done so. He continues to lie and lead the life of Walter Mitty. When the SwiftVets exposed the truth, he and his media surrogates viciously attacked them. Juan Williams was particularly disgusting. What a weenie that guy is.
To fund his political campaigns and have money for multiple houses and $5,000 bicycles, DeLay has twiced married very wealthy women. He is, in the truest sense of the word, a gigolo. His latest wife is some piece of work. One of her favorite tricks is to tell reporters to shove it. She is arrogant, condescending, and someone who needs a sock super glued in her mouth. We realize that her almost a billion dollars is quite a prize, but how can DeLay stand this woman without running out of his house screaming when it is bedtime? Can't you just hear the conversation? Sorry dear, little Tommie won't stand at attention and is unable to report for duty again tonight. Maybe tomorrow. (He then rolls over and writes on his notepad to make sure he replenishes his supply of saltpeter.)
Some vets are convinced that DeLay received a less than honorable discharge. That is why the signature on his honorable discharge came years later. Perhaps Jimmy Carter had his discharge changed. Where is that form 180, Tom? Come on.
Republicans, you make me sick that you allow this man to stay in office. He has to go.
P.S. DeLay also throws like a girl.
What? Wait a minute, someone is interrupting me. Are you kidding? It wasn't Tom DeLay who faked his way to medals, left his men behind, illegally negotiated with the enemy, slandered and defamed American heroes, caused men to be tortured and die, attended a meeting where they voted on whether to whack senators, is considered a hero of the commies, and still refuses to sign a form 180? It was who? John Forbes Kerry? Oh, okay. Never mind.
Pinging the WHY TOM DELAY MUST GO RIGHT NOW list.
hurray!!! this is great!
pOST THIS OVER AT du AND SEE IF ANYONE BITES.......
haha!Pingin' the RKBA list here. :)
I'm sure they are reading it here. There is no way I will go register to post in their cesspool.
Sure, throw him out. The Republicans always chew each other up rather than stand together. We lost Newt, Livingston, Nixon, Bork, and a lot more I can't think of, because of weak knees and spineless backs by these entrenched GOPers. That's why the Republican Party will never be the majority party even when they have more members than the Dems. Sure, throw him out - perhaps there are a few more that could be sent along with him.
W ought to do the same thing with Clinton sound bites from his former concern about social security days. The words are almost identical to what W is saying...but alas...it is coming out of W's mouth, now.
When will the Dems ever learn - they serve the people, not themselves...
DeLay just hired his relatives to work on his campaign staff OMG NO~!!!!!
This series just keeps getting better and better. Thank you for your fine work, that recalls the excellent bits by Emily Latella (Gilda Radner) on "Saturday Night Live!" Keep up the fine work.

LOL
nice!!
ummm the only Conservative Republican actually calling for Delay to step aside is that idiot Tancredo.
Thanks, CBb. Since the first one of these, I have been searching for a photo of Emily to add to this series but can't find one.
How many years has "Tom" been in the senate?
And how many bills has he sponsored? ..or even cosponsored?
Incompetent "Tom" must go!
I loved Caroll O'Connor's response when asked if hiring his son for his TV show wasn't nepotism. He said (to paraphrase): "Of course it's nepotism, that's what parents do; they help their kids get jobs."

THAT's cause you were looking under Ah-tillah :-)
