Didn't see where another thread existed
at that point I jump ship. The Iraq connection was one that was thrown up before people heard of al-Qaeda. If she pointed to al-Qaeda I would raise an eybrow but to Iraq? To Iraqis who were in large part refugees from Saddam? No thanks. She is behind the curve on this.
Believe what you wish. If you won't read the book, don't pretend you understand the story.
Well how fitting since he was a player.
I don't know the exact involvement of al-Qaeda or Hussein. But there was definite Iraqi involvement. Nichols or McVeigh could not have built that bomb without technical help.
VEry plausible they got the technical help (and money?) from al-Qaeda through the Filipino connection.
I agree. But was it al-Qaeda or another terrorist group? The IRA has been active in Colombia teaching bombmaking. They started it all.
OH my.. I am soo pleased to hear that J.C. is running for Gov. It would be Awesome if he did and won. We'll have the first Black Governor in the U.S. and he'll be a Republican. How awesome.
And then the first woman and black President, Condoleezza Rice.
I do not believe there will be hearings.
Any legitimate hearings would expose the participation of Khalid Mohammed and his network in the OKC bombing and would also expose the intentional cover-up of KSM's participation by everyone from field agents like Jon Hersley to Janet Reno and John Ashcroft.
If there were legitimate hearings, sooner or later someone would have to ask Louis Freeh and/or Janet Reno under oath, why did you intentionally cover-up the participation of Khalid Mohammed's network in the OKC bombing?
There will never be hearings because no one in the government wants that question aked.
aked =asked
McVeigh was alive at the end of the Clinton Administration.
It appears some well meaning FBI personnel were waiting for a change in Administrations before "finding" thousands of hidden FBI documents concerning John Doe 2 and other participants. These hidden documents were never presented to the defense, as required by law.
Ashcroft delayed the execution by 60 days. McVeigh did not want an appeal which would have embarrassed the government for violating federal law in a capital murder case and also an appeal would have made public many of the FBI hidden documents concerning other participants.
The official version was McVeigh hated the govenment so he was willing to blow up children to strike out against the federal government, yet he was unwilling to file an appeal which would have arguably been a blow of more impact than a bomb, considering the illegal actions the government took to cover-up for known participants in the bombing.
"If there were legitimate hearings, sooner or later someone would have to ask Louis Freeh and/or Janet Reno under oath, why did you intentionally cover-up the participation of Khalid Mohammed's network in the OKC bombing?"
During the 9/11 Commission Lehman asked Louis Freeh about McVeigh's connections to Islamic Terrorists and the infomation revealed due to Jayna Davis' investigative work.
Freeh responded "I've never heard it." No follow up questions were asked....
Exactly! I know one place I am not going to be on the 19th and that is anywhere near OKC.
We are about 99% sure he is running from his comments and the comments of people around him -- put it this way -- when our Lt Governor asked who was going to be running or thinking of running, J.C. came close to standing up but the guy rumored to be his campaign manager motioned for him to stay seated. That guy didn't leave J.C.'s side for two minutes and when I talked to him, he gave every indication J.C. was planning to run.
J.C. is by far the most popular person in Oklahoma.
"Another Conspiracy Theory intrigued me because I could never disprove it. The theory seemed unlikely on its face: Ramzi Yousef or Khalid Sheik Muhammad had taught Terry Nichols how to blow up the Oklahoma Federal Building. The problem was that, upon investigation, we established that both Ramzi Yousef and Nichols had been in the city of Cebu on the same days. I had been to Cebu years earlier; it is on an island in the central Philippines. It was a town in which word could have spread that a local girl was bringing her American boy friend home and that the American hated the U.S. government.
Yousef and Khalid Sheik Muhammad had gone there to help create an al Qaeda spinoff, a Philippine affiliate chapter, named after a hero of the Afghan war against the Soviets, Abu Sayaff. Could the al Qaeda explosives expert have been introduced to the angry American who proclaimed his hatred for the U.S. Government? We do not know, despite some FBI investigation. We do know that Nichols's bombs did not work before his Philippine stay and were deadly when he returned. We also know that Nichols continued to call Cebu long after his wife returned to the United States. The final coincidence is that several al Qaeda operatives had attended a radical Islamic conference a few years earliler in, of all places, Oklahoma City.
(Against All Enemies, p. 127.)
Ramzi Yousef (1993 WTC) and Terry Nichols crossed paths in the Phillipines. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed (9/11) was Yousef's uncle. It is interesting to note that Yousef entered the United States on an Iraqi passport and had been known among the New York fundamentalists as "Rashid, the Iraqi". Another name that could be thrown into the mix is Abdul Rahman Yasin, a U.S. citizen who moved to Iraq in the 1960's and returned to the U.S. in 1992. After the 1993 WTC bombing, Yasin fled to Iraq and was given money and housing by Saddam Hussein's regime.

And then there are the "cutter charges" placed on the support columns some of which did not trigger, hence the call that there are "still devices in the building" during rescue ops. And who went in to disarm and retrive those??? Nice cover up on their part.
Also just how did the "truck bomb" take out the bulk of the fedscum building but not do near as much damage on the other side of the street? Oh yeah and the crater under the truck was minuscule compared to the building damage. So are we supposed to believe that Mc Veigh made a shaped charge out of the truck?
Thanks for the J.C. update. I truly like him so very much.
He was in Houston about 6-8 years ago and I held up a yard sign from the '92 Nat. convention that was blue with a huge yellow light bulb and read "J.C. Watts." He came unglued when he saw it... said "where did you get that?" Needless to say it was easy to get it signed and a few pictures with him and the sign. It was a fun morning.
I've run into Democrat OK's that voted for him. He seems to attract both parties... because he's so genuine. When he left the U.S. House, I still remember his comment when asked about ever running for office again. He said something to the effect that he was not shutting the door to politics just because he was not running for Congress again. hmmmmm
J.C. is so popular around the Country and we are all praying that he will run as our Governor candidate in 2006! I love to hear him speak. He spoke about sacrifice and how we are all called to sacrifice for our State and our Country. He used to use Country but Friday night he kept referring to Oklahoma and how much he missed the State and how we can work to make it a better State. It was awesome and everyone there was excited to have him back in the State unless they were planning to run for Governor and believe they saw those plans go up in smoke.
Yeah! And nobody like a renegger!!!
