We are about 99% sure he is running from his comments and the comments of people around him -- put it this way -- when our Lt Governor asked who was going to be running or thinking of running, J.C. came close to standing up but the guy rumored to be his campaign manager motioned for him to stay seated. That guy didn't leave J.C.'s side for two minutes and when I talked to him, he gave every indication J.C. was planning to run.

J.C. is by far the most popular person in Oklahoma.

Thanks for the J.C. update. I truly like him so very much.

He was in Houston about 6-8 years ago and I held up a yard sign from the '92 Nat. convention that was blue with a huge yellow light bulb and read "J.C. Watts." He came unglued when he saw it... said "where did you get that?" Needless to say it was easy to get it signed and a few pictures with him and the sign. It was a fun morning.

I've run into Democrat OK's that voted for him. He seems to attract both parties... because he's so genuine. When he left the U.S. House, I still remember his comment when asked about ever running for office again. He said something to the effect that he was not shutting the door to politics just because he was not running for Congress again. hmmmmm
