With an assault weapon in each hand, rocker and gun rights advocate Ted Nugent urged National Rifle Association members to be "hardcore, radical extremists demanding the right to self defense."
Speaking at the NRA's annual convention Saturday, Nugent said each NRA member should try to enroll 10 new members over the next year and associate only with other members.
"Let's next year sit here and say, 'Holy smokes, the NRA has 40 million members now,'" he said. "No one is allowed at our barbecues unless they are an NRA member. Do that in your life."
Nugent sang and played a guitar painted with red and white stripes for the crowd at Houston's downtown convention center.
He drew the most cheers when he told gun owners they should never give up their right to bear arms and should use their guns to protect themselves if needed.
"Remember the Alamo! Shoot 'em!" he screamed to applause. "To show you how radical I am, I want carjackers dead. I want rapists dead. I want burglars dead. I want child molesters dead. I want the bad guys dead. No court case. No parole. No early release. I want 'em dead. Get a gun and when they attack you, shoot 'em."
We need to get this guy in public office.
The Motor City Madman is right on the money!
For my birthday this year I asked my dad, who is an NRA member, to sign me up!!
I am proud to say that I am and NRA member and hope to be for a long time!
"They can take my gun when they pry it from my cold dead hands!!!"
"Spirit of the Wild" - Thursday's, Outdoor Channel, 7:30p CST. WATCH IT.
Leave it to Ted to give some fodder for the dems to use against Tom Delay---
I just love Ted!!!!
Okie dokie..I will...
Ted is the greatest.A little extreme at times, but i admire his enthusiasm.Think i'll renew my membership.Do you still get a magazine and decal?
Not happening. I find most Americans want a pleasant day, no harsh words, and certainly do not want to upset their enemies because their enemies might say something bad about them.
Interesting, indeed. A tad bassakerd, and his donations were in '92, well over 10 years ago. Interesting, yes.
Yes on the decal.....and you can choose from 5 mags,or so.
I think he's eligible to be governor of Texas now, no?
All of a sudden I'm a Ted Nugent groupie , get out my camo ma . "Lets roll".
Thanx, that's what i thought.Maybe i can get him to autograph one when he comes to town.
Words to shoot and live by.

This guy has no appreciation for the true ethic of hunting. Most True Freepers who take guns & hunting seriously consider him bona-fide moron.
Hey if you want to know how bad the liberals have stacked the "rights" of criminals here in New York city against law abiding citizens, check this out; There is a law that says all New york city taxi drivers MUST pick up all people no matter how menacing they look, no matter how crazy they look, even if that person has a gun in his hand, under threat of license revocation. If some gang members hail a taxi, that taxi driver MUST pick them up. Now listen to this..Guess what the drivers get to defend themselves with? Nothing! Absolutely nothing, no clubs, no tire irons, no bats, no knives, especially no guns, nothing nothing nothing, not even a butter knife. But the criminals? They get to hail the taxi and blow away the driver because they know the driver must pick them up and know he is unarmed. This is sickest example of liberals idiocy I have ever read and one of the worst violations of constitutional rights in this country. To actually pass laws that invite criminals to rob you while at the same time render you absolutely defenseless is sick. There`s a reason Hitlery Clinton picked New York. It`s the absolute sphincter hole capital of liberalism on the east coast.
