British Lefties Using Czarist-nazi Forgery (SHOCK!)
Discover The Network ^ | 4/17/05

The British lefties trying to organize a boycott of Israeli university have a new tool to show the world their devotion to peace and brotherhood, not to mention progressive socialist enlightenment. They are distributing the old czarist forgery "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion," a standard text in Nazi Germany and ever popular among Counterpunch columnists, Saudi oil sheikhs, and followers of Fred Newman (see item below). [The "Protocols" is supposed to be about a Jewish cabal to control the world. ]

Who says? Well, the pro-Palestinian Guardian newspaper in the UK, for one. And Luciana Berger, a former NUS National Executive Committee member and co-convener of the NUS Anti-Racism/ Anti-Fascism Campaign, for two.

In the Guardian Berger asks:

"A leaflet was readily available on the stalls at the conference (joint General Union of Palestinian Students and the Socialist Workers Party) for two days. The text was the typical anti-semitic work; the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Once again, complaints were met with unacceptable delays and silence. Many people claim that being anti-Israel/Zionist isn't being anti-semitic. But why does hatred of Israel lead them to turn a blind eye to the Protocols on a GUPS pamphlet?"

A typical leader in the boycott movement in the UK is cited here:

Gilad Atzmon, a pro-Palestine advocate, gave a talk to students this month, arguing: 'I'm not going to say whether it is right or not to burn down a synagogue, I can see that it is a rational act.'

Why don't they just cut to chase and distribute the film "The Eternal Jew". It would do Julius Streicher proud.

Why are they called British "lefties", and not British nazis? That's what they are.

Don't give them any idea! :-)
OTOH it might be a good idea to shine the light of truth on what many on the left really believe.

I had the enormous luck to be born in a Golden Age of Judaism, an era when Jews could flourish both in secular pursuits and as Jews. In Europe, that Golden Age is ending.

It seems very probable that when I leave this earth, it will be a worse place then when I entered it. That is a very depressing thought.

For Catholic readers consideration.

Sister Lucy was told by the Blessed Virgin Mother that the errors of Russia would spread. She did not say what those errors would be, without a doubt Communism was a large part but was it all?

This prophecy was made in 1917. Notice these Protocols were from Russia and notice the commonly accepted date they were written and the date they were taken out of Russia. I consider the "Protocols" as one of those errors.

At least, he is a nice Jewish boy .

Is there a basis for the reference to Counterpunch?

Good points, Mark. I think you are on to something!
