Add a few conservative leaning articles with a cover to match and imagine how may copies they'd sell every week.

Ann Coulter epitomizes the way politics is now discussed on the airwaves, where opinions must come violently fast and cause as much friction as possible, TIMEs John Cloud claims in this weeks cover story.
No one, right or left, delivers the required apothegmatic commentary on the world with as much glee or effectiveness as Coulter, Cloud writes (on newsstands Monday, April 18).
It is almost impossible to watch her and not be sluiced into rage or elation, depending on your views. As a congressional staff member 10 years ago, Coulter used to help write the nations laws.
Now she is far more powerful: she helps set the nations tone. TIMEs Cloud had unprecedented access to Coulter.
He goes more than 6,000 words.
And he appears to come away liking her.
"On TV or in person, you can trust that Coulter will speak from her heart. The officialdom of punditry, so full of phonies and dullards, would suffer without her humor and fire. Which is not to say you don't want to shut her up occasionally," Cloud notes.

I'm not a fan of her writing or arguing style, but I agree that she's beautiful and Time intentionally tried to make her look like a cross between a zombie and a witch.

I hate to be the first to say it but if that's the picture they're using, I don't like it. Something about it is odd looking but I can't put my finger on exactly what it is. Ann photographs so well yet this shot looks like she's a child sitting in a grown-up's chair.

I guess I've picked up either Time or Newsweek in the gym once or twice. I can't tell them apart.

Playboy made her the same offer, but she turned them down.

Words have specific meanings Agreed. She is a "polemicist" in the true Greek meaning of the word (it means "combatant"). She combats with her words. That is fine. That appeals to certain segment of people.
The kind of articles that turn me on are analytical ones that get me to think. George Will is one such writer. There are other less stuffy ones but I can't remember them right now.
I prefer analytical over polemicist.

Most "portrait" lenses have longer focal lengths, to give a more natural recognition factor, to a photo. This one appears to have been shot with a short, or "normal" lens, which alters (or distorts, in our minds) the relative location of features. Things look out of proportion because of their distance from the lens... It's called "perspective"... I can't believe that TIme Magazine would deliberately distort something. Why that's not "journalistic"...

'she thinks she needs to dumb down the discussion/issues for her readers.'
I don't think she dumbs it down for her followers - but for the pie-throwers.

Nobody can. I've noticed that about 70% of the time, they even have the same cover photo.

Hey race, you type worse than me but the photos mooooreee than make up for it, and all those crybabies who don't like Ann's looks go swoon on a picture of Hitlery for a while.
The old media must have run out of nasty things to say about DeLay.

'BTW, I also voted for George Allen for GOP candidate.'
I finally voted "other". I considered Allen, but don't feel like I know enough about him. I like Jeb or the VP, but don't feel they have a chance in '08. Jeb because of his last name, and the VP because of his heart. Of course, if the toon were able to run again, "heart" would not be considered.

The ultimate photo on many fr threads has always been (IMHO) "JimRob's Angels". It's a photo of Laura Ingraham, Michele Malkin and Ann Coulter all in kung-fu fighting poses, it is truly incomparable.

Because I wrote:
Laura Ingraham is a smarter than Ann but also more boring. Ann is not boring. What degree does Ann hold?
Laura puts me to sleep - she is repetious - elite media, yadda yadda yadda.
As for me being on the wrong side of issues - you wish - Let me see you on one of those threads try and prove me wrong.
