"We know nothing really about her, but by God, Condi is our gal!" --- Anonymous Freeper
I've repeatedly asked here at FR for anyone to tell me *CONDI'S* stand on a number of issues ranging from economics to school prayer.
I have yet to receive one reply to my queries on where Miss Rice stands on a number of issues.
So can someone please tell me, especially you, Section 9, why I should be excited about a possible Condi Rice presidency run?
FYI: Miss R. in my opinion will prove to be an excellent Sec of State. But POTUS? Sorry, unlike a lot of Freepers my vote requires more than a cute smile or even worse, a fanatical appreciation of the Condi stare.
No wonder so many here can't seem to get behind Tom DeLay.
>>In fact they have 45 days to do so.<<
What exactly did Congress accomplish in the 45 days after 9-11?
Come on, start telling me just how effective todays Congress is at protecting America.
A couple of things, since jla here called me out (I've been busy helping the webmaster over at AmericansForRice.com fend off a denial of service attack from a cute little leftie from New York), not to mention moderating the Team Condi board.
1. She's an absolutist on 2nd Amendment issues. That's what sold me.
2. Recently, while calling herself "moderately pro-choice" she described herself as against partial-birth abortion and in favor of parental consent laws. She is against federal funding for abortion because she does not believe that those who are against abortion should be forced to pay for it. She has spoken very favorably of the President's concept of the "culture of life", and I strongly suspect that there's not much daylight between them. If I were a betting man, I'd say she'd rather see Roe remanded back to the states, where it belongs.
3. Low taxes. Goes without saying.
4. Kick the raghead ass. Goes without saying. But not simply kill Binnie Boy; infect the entire region with the virus of Democracy. Eventually, the entire fascist house of cards come tumbling down.
5. Plant the stiletto heel in Chirac's butt. Goes without saying.
6. Appears to be jonesing to set up a containment ring around China. Very smart. Good strategic thinking. Meanwhile, in Tancredoland..... (...sound of crickets....)
...THAT steaming pile called for DeLay to step down. Can we all agree that Tom T's fifteen minutes of fame have reached minute 16?
7. For the time being, wants to increase energy production. In the absence of new nuclear plants, however, we're all a slave to fossil fuels.
8. Oh yeah, she splits women with Lardass and breaks 20% among black voters. Assuming she wins men, she wins, period. Electoral landslide, also assuming another 72 Hour Plan operation as we had in 2004.
DeLay needs to fight back and the rest of the Pubbie Party needs to un%**k themselves and fight back with him.
Of course, asking the Pubbie Party to do that is like asking the Pubs to stop sending money to the likes of Alan Keyes; it's akin to asking the sun to rise in the west. There's a reason we're called the Stupid Party. Just ask Bill Frist; he can't even pull off a nuclear option!
I'm not looking for the Perfect Candidate; but I am looking for the Best Candidate to be President. That's Condi.
If you want perfection, you have to ask for Jesus, and he ain't runnin.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
SECRETARY RICE: It means that, like many Americans, I find the issue of abortion very difficult. I believe it ought to be as rare as possible. Nobody wants to see anyone go through that. I favor parental notification. I favor a ban on late-term abortion. But I, myself, am not a fan of having the government intervene in the laws.
MR. RUSSERT: You would not outlaw it?
SECRETARY RICE: No.
What?
I've not once called Condi "pro-life" or "pro-abortion".
I've simply documented her most specific quotes. These quotes show that she's anti late-term abortion, against government funding of abortion and for parental notification. Those are her positions. They are illustrated without vague labels or vague context. They cover the full range of the abortion debate, and I've demonstrated them accurately.
I don't think I could be more precise.
So?
Do you think all NSA advisors or SOS heads to be viable POTUS candidates?
Did you go Ga-Ga over Colin too? Actually, I think Dr Rice is less a globalist than Colin...a good thing.
Do you not care that she is pro-choice reluctantly or otherwise?
Besides her record as a cold war hawk and as Bush's NSA, what else do you know about her overall policy views?
Do you think she singlehandedly formed Bush's foreign policy? Hardly in my view.
I think she simply appeals to your emotive reasoning about who would "look good" to run and substance is secondary. I believe she is a moderate on social issues. A deal killer for me by itself.
Just because someone disagrees with you does not make them ill informed. I'm quite informed on Dr Rice and prefer her where she is. She might take a look at the Alabama or California senate races which would be a good start and at which time I would take another "ill informed" look at her after she has a track record and has actually run for an office...lol
Right now, she is just PC political candy for those swayed by such.
What are you smoking Fop? Lord a mercy.
Liberal whites routinely beat conservative blacks in majority black districts.
50%?
I'm 47.
I will not live to see 50% of blacks vote (R) unless the GOP nominates Jesse Jackson.
...which could happen the way things are going.
Thank you.
Folks here need to be reminded where we came from.
Huh?
The majority of Americans disprove of abortion on demand and partial birth abortion. "Choice" is the MINORITY ISSUE that Republicans are pandering to.
I would appreciate if you would turn off your racial decoding ring when reading my posts.
If and that's a great big IF we ever regain the national pride and patriotism to demand that our elected officials OBEY every word of their Oath of Office we might be able to swing the other way, back towards being an actual Republic.
The Minuteman Program is scaring them silly, thank God!
The current President did.
She's no more "pro-abortion" than the current President is.
It's certainly attracted attention. I hope it grows.
Another good move to make them at least blink is to register as an Independent. As the number of 'party' members who wear blinders decreases they can't help but swallow hard.
Is there ANYONE who meets that condition currently in a position to run for President in 2008?
That's what the primary campaign is for.
Do you know where President Bush stands on immigration? If so, what is it?
Folks here need to be reminded of who brought conservatism out from the wilderness -
Bill
