I once wrote a satire piece about people trying to learn whether Elizabeth Dole actually had positions on the issues. I think we're going to run into this situation every so often. People will find a Republican woman whom they think will have an easy road to the White House because she's a woman. That's a stupid belief, but it doesn't seem to go away. These people will then tout her as the next great candidate in spite of the complete lack of evidence that she could win or that she could be a good candidate if she did win.

Republicans touting C. Rice for POTUS are of the type who wish to lean across the fence and shout out at their liberal neighbors, "Hey! We're not only putting a woman in the White House, we elected a black one!"
