Does Free Republic and Jim Robinson ban those who disagree with them? asks The Conservative Voice.

Most all of the posters seek "Anonymity" when replying to the question raised on The Conservative Voice website: Is Free Republic Biased?
Nathan Tabor, Senior Editor and webmaster, moderates this running "Topic of the Day" and everyday discussion.

Well, since the site is dominated by paid party operatives and federal employees who allow no dissent from the Bush regime's latest political propaganda releases, you could say that it's more a solid, one way amen corner for the neoconservative cabal than a biased website."

Still another "Anonymous" poster writes:"Re: Is Free Republic Biased? They banned me for complaining about losing my career to outsourcing. They taunted and gloated with perverse kitty pictures, infantile cartoons, and guttural remarks that reveal their mentality.The flames fanned by their hatred are now licking at their heels."

ALIPAC also posts the subject: Conservative Website FREE REPUBLIC Mutinies over Bush Comments" and notes: "With reports coming in from around the nation of a split in the conservative base over the Bush amnesty and open borders plans, the nations most frequented conservative website erupted into a mutiny against Bush policies on Thursday. This article below elicited the response. Please take the time to read this article and the comments of many conservatives that are dismayed by Bush's statements about the Minuteman Project on FreeRepublic.com As many of you know, Free Republic had made previous efforts to control the debate by purging immigration reform users."

What seems to be a fledgling conservative based site, The Conservative Voice appears to seek readership through indexed forums dedicated to the Mother Bird herself, Free Republic. If you were wondering what happens to those little birds that fall or are kicked out of the FR nest (which I know you do not, but makes my play on words work); you might find some of them under the Free Republic Indexed forums over on The Conservative Voice.

On this I think all will agree, my post already noted this fact as has others on this thread. Still the property rights does not immune anyone from public disapproval. They have edit rights but no rights to public opinion. It is a balancing act. Enough Free speech to be of public value with out so much anarchy that it looses that public value. You gave some good examples where the public image of FR is in danger of being useful and thereby visited by the public. Like I said it is their right to degrade the public value, but real friends admonish you when you are wrong. Sycophants only use you and pat you on the back hoping to pick your pocket.

The be frank the Threads are available elsewhere it is the posters and the comments that make FR interesting. I do not like seeing so many good folks treated so unfairly. But it hurts FR even more than the suspended Freepers. If the events on the Religious pages spread FR will be of no value to me what so ever.

Yes, but there still is hate and anger spewed out here on FR. Mention France, Europe, Jacko, Bubba, Hillary, Jimmy Carter etc etc and out it comes. That's like saying all tyrants are really great men compared to Stalin, Hitler, and Mao Tse Tung. My point is that not that FR is tyrannical, its just one cannot compare this site as hateless or angerless compared to others that are full of it.

Of course FR is biased. I really don't think an internet site could be unbiased. If an article was posted at this unbiased "site" that was leftist some FR would find out and come back here and send a ton of people over to flame the article and vice versa with DU. Way too many emotional issues going on today.

I guess we may as well confess that the only reason we spend ninty percent of our time on line, here at Free Republic, is because Jim Rob conspired with Hillary Clinton and got a copy of our FBI files. We are (whimper) mere helpless victems, held prisoner by the tyrannical creator of this site.

We try to flee to other places on the internet, but Jim the evil genius, has found some diabolical way to control our computers. It matters not what address we may seek, we find ourselves at Free Republic.

Changing computers doesn't help at all. I have used family members computers, while on vacation-same old, same old I wind up here at FR.
