Luckily the FBI didn't find a butt ugly rifle or worse yet, a Barrett in that house.

Yes, too many Americans and politicians have forgotten.

And today there's a thread that House Democrats in Massachusetts are trying to insist that illegals get the same college tax break that tax paying Americans get!!

If people in the northeast don't wake up and vote those people out of office, they will be very sorry someday, imo.

I'm glad you show that map of the terrorist cells; Steven Emerson was one of the first calls the FBI made after 9/11. He had to rent warehouses to hold all his information about the cells. I think you and I could find terrorist cells faster than the FBI could. LOL

Anyway, thanks for your vigilance regarding these matters.

Read the last paragraph:

This is not the first federal immigration case in Memphis with Middle Eastern connections and overtones of violence. In 2002, five Middle Eastern men who came to Memphis from New York were arrested in a scheme to get fake driver's licenses. Katherine Smith, an employee at the driver's license testing station who was also arrested, died five days later in a burning car which was apparently deliberately set on fire. The case was investigated for possible terrorist connections but none were found. The men were held several weeks but eventually released and deported.

How about a return to a sane, pre-1965 immigration policy wherein we allow entry only to those we NEED in this country? By definition, that would limit immigration to highly educated, highly skilled persons (not millions of tomato pickers) who will not likely be on welfare if seasonal work runs out.

The immigrants we NEED in this country NOW are the ones that cut your grass, pick your fruit, and paint your house.

When I worked there we had a few people in the Medical field that a lot of us didn't trust as far as we could throw them. I have always thought there was a not more going on in that city than meets the eye.

At the risk of getting flamed, I can see the 'evidence of terrorist link' against this guy as you do.

That he is a crook, engaged in fraud, seems indisputable, but owning guns, having hidden cash, and a collection of passports - all in the names of members of his family - are not all that unusual.

Re Bosnia, did we not intervene on the side of the beleagered Muslims? Why would he not have a photo with a weapon if he was visiting friends with military connection.

It is possible that he is really dirty, but then again it is possible that the FBI is crowing about this 'catch' to pat themselves on their own backs.

"The immigrants we NEED in this country NOW are the ones that cut your grass, pick your fruit, and paint your house."

No, we do not NEED to import grass cutters, fruit pickers, or painters, just so we can get that sort of menial labor done more cheaply. We're now paying for schooling, emergency room visits, and jail boarding for too many immigrant grass cutters, fruit pickers, and painters. Scientists we may need. More lawnmowers we do NOT need to import.

No flame, I have learned not to trust Law Enforcement types. I see the US turning into a police state that would be the STASI's wet dream. I hope the FBI is right, but I live near Portland, Oregon and the FBI here can't even get fingerprints correct here. Their Special Agent in Charge of the JTTF publicly states he needs help here because there are too many terrorists cells for the FBI to keep track of .... but that's not what the national FBI is saying. Putting the FBI in charge of the domestic WOT might be Bush's second mistake since 9-11.

Some of us remember, and also remember how the FBI and the talking heads all said, "No connection to terrorism."

HorseHockey! As long as anyone can get a driver's license - especially illegal immigrants - then there is no way to close off the faucet.

I am deadly serious...my wife's cousin's name is Tina...she weighs in at around 200 pounds, won't work, lives in subsidized housing and how she got this deal set up is beyond me. Of course the man does not live with her (so I am told) hence the cell phone to call him.
I still cannot believe the lack of response I got from the Dallas FBI...it absolutely pisses me off.

Weird. My friend's story is somewhat similar. She is very over weight and not very attactive. He approached her at a coffee shop. Asked her to marry him shortly after. They don't do a thing together.

Soon, he had various family members and other Islamic friends coming to stay with them. He never holds a steady job. Has "friends" all over the world that he communicates with and visits. It's all very shady. I have lost contact with her (and we were friends for almost 20 years) shortly after 9/11, so I don't know if they are still married.

No flame from you, but from others who disagree with both of our perspective.

I will never forget the harassment that I and my family got in San Diego from a 6'3" INS agent who thought that we had sailed all the way from Canada to San Diego without clearing into the US. The huge Canadian flag painted on the hull of our boat called us to his attention.

The INS had fined 3 Canadian yachting families a total of $6000 for various infractions that same month.

Long, boring story, but eventually he returned our passports, which he had held until he decided "what to do with us" on our promise that we were leaving San Diego the next day.

I was an American citizen, travelling on an American passport, and I believe that if I also had been a Canadian, he would have made another $2000 fine.

The infraction: Foreign yachts have to "check in" to each harbor or district all along America's coasts.

We cleared into Port Angeles, Washington - all papers in order.

We checked into Morro Bay, Newport Beach and San Diego but forgot to do it in LA. There, we were guests of my cousin, an ex-mayor of Beverly Hills, and I was much more concerned with passing muster at the Del Ray Yacht Club, then with calling the Coast Guard

We sailed directly to Morro Bay, and the guy could not believe that we had not stopped in San Francisco, so he was sure that we were lying. All I could think was we were legally in the US; we were middle class tourists; we were very close to the Mexican border where illegals were streaming over; and he was getting his job satisfaction from hassling us.
