Praying Google gets some competition one of these days -- this will just encourage some of us to use other search engines for the news we need to know.
You now have a "bargaining tool" in your relationship with your husband that will grow much larger with each telling (smiling).

I've thought about that myself. Most people there are incapacitated and generally unable to fend for themselves. People remaining in the structure (doctors, nurses, orderlies, cafeteria workers, gift shop workers, volunteers and hospital visitors) are valued community members. A seige is one possibility. The number of people sitting in an average emergency waiting room alone is generally quite large. Easy to secure entrances and exits and with a large number of patients all over the hospital premises, the potential prevention of penetration from exterior attack.
Long time no see too :[ I have been very busy but I have
stopped being a carpet for some people and my life is changing this week. It is the last week to ride the carpet.

Breaking: W.H.O. Says Polio Jumps Ocean, outbreak widens

Breaking: The goal of the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) to eradicate polio is in grave doubt since a case has developed in Indonesia, which means the virus has jumped an ocean from Africa, reports the NYTimes.
The cases are in predominantly Muslim countries. CNN reports the "Islamic-ruled Nigerian state" has rejected polio vaccine, calling it "a U.S. plot to spread AIDS and infertility among Muslims."
Furthermore, W.H.O.'s "emergency response fund is virtually depleted and the agency has begun pleading with donors for help controlling new outbreaks."
While researching a Yemeni woman facing execution, I spotted this Yemen Times article :
WHO: Major polio epidemic hits Yemen, 22 infected
The United Nations agency, which reported four cases around the Red Sea port city of al-Hodeidah last week, said 18 more children had contracted the disease ... An epidemic that originated in Nigeria has swept across Africa since mid-2003.
"What we are facing now is a major epidemic of polio in Yemen," David Heymann, head of the WHO's polio eradication program. More below:

Oh absolutely.
I have liked Google up to the point where they started deciding what was/is quality or not.
When I search for something, I want all the hits/results; not what one thinks is "quality."
And we protect the jerks, too.
Jerks online -- a dime a dozen...
I wonder if anyone is running blood samples on the dead dogs to see if they were poisoned and if so, what the poison was.
Yep.
Isn't that something?
If there is an e-bomb; there must be
an anti-e-bomb technology in the works
somewhere -- hopefully.

YEP!
Exactly. This is IMHO a huge screw-up on behalf of Google. We are quite capable of choosing the news sites we want to read. Sifting through mounds of ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN/Fox, etc. etc. etc. sanitized articles before finding REAL articles with unbiased opinions (just the facts!) is NOT inspiring news about Google. I fear they've become too big for their britches :-)
Snippet: "'When I lay down to bed at night, I don't wanna think about being blown up,' said LaQuita Brewster."
Yes, and that scenario seems easily universal so I'm glad we took note of that situation here.
Jerseygirl (cute handle btw)
I think the text for the KFC/Coca cola images are along the lines of boycott these US products or something close.
As for the dollar, I'm not sure about that one.
