Awesome!
Sounds like the Canadian Air Force gets its wings from the US graveyard in the Southwest.
In 20yrs they'll be retiring the F-100 SupreSabre I guess.
Lame and sad all at the same time.

I've always had a fondness for the ' Shooting Star'. I think it was my first model kit as a kid.

"What will the Canadians use now as their front-line interceptor?"
That was cold man.

You still have a flying camel?????? What's the top speed on those, 80 mph? You might catch a few canadian geese that are trafficing in narcotics......

I believe it/they was/were for training.

Hey, our guys are ready to go. Talk to the libs.
To: Ashamed Canadian
It did have its uses for training, just not for training pilots. It was used in training radar operators, for towing drones for naval anti-aircraft artillery practice, and so on.

Eielson AB had a few T-33s long ago, and in 1979 or 1980 they allowed non-pilot air crewmembers (and a few penguins) to ride front-seat. Shades of the Flying Nun.

By 'penguins' I meant non-flying USAF personnel ;-).

That's for sure! I've had the pleasure of working with them at Zaragoza AB, Spain. They are very professional and kick-ass. It's the damn liberal gov't that refuses to give them all the tools and numbers they need.

Canada has some Air Planes but no force.. Unless we're bombing Belgrade on behalf of Bill Clinton, only then does force come into play.
To: Levante
This says it all IMO ...
To: NorthOf45
Very cool pic, North.
BTW, where do you get those pictures?

I get them from a variety of sources actually. I just keep my eyes open and save them as I go. The one above I got from
www.militaryphotos.net
I also use
Combat Camera, which has been a little wonky lately.
