When two assailants attacked conservative columnist Ann Coulter with pies while she was giving a speech at the University of Arizona in October, most people, including the speaker, dismissed it as a prank. When an enraged protester threw his shoe at former Pentagon adviser Richard Perle during a debate with Howard Dean, crying "Liar, liar," in February, it was quickly forgotten. Earlier this month, when assailants tossed pies and salad dressing at conservatives William Kristol and Patrick Buchanan at two separate campus events, the media played it as a joke. But when another pie thrower lobbed his projectile at conservative activist David Horowitz last week at Butler University, the speaker took a moment to bring up a very serious point. "There's a wave of violence on college campuses, committed by what I'd call fascists opposing conservatives," he said. "It's one step from that to injury."

Oh yes, but that was a religion of peace gesture. V's wife.
heh, heh, heh... Poor Sean Hannity is all but begging the pie-throwers to come for him. I think he's feeling a little left out. Because you know, Sean, only relevant conservatives get the pie treatment...
Here in the dreaded private sector, we joke about whether it's time for the taunting and name calling. But we don't engage in it, because whoever tries to slam someone, even if he or she is convinced that it's true, he only winds up as undermining his or her own credibility. There's an effective way to make a point and then there's name calling and pie throwing.
It has the same effect in the public sector, but some people don't see it that way ;)
The little Lefties should be careful who they incite. Should they one day do it in the wrong place a good old fashioned ass whipping would be in order.
i remember before the election when there were cartoons of Bush being assassinated, conservatives were outraged, but the left just laffed them off because, after all, "it's just a cartoon, and not really real" ... and "cartoons are for kids, anyway, don't take it seriously"
What the left is doing has happened not so long ago to a different group of people by similar thugs.
It was called "KRISTALNACHT".
How does one get a pie through security at one of these sessions? Either there's inadequate security or campus officials are allowing pies through.
FMCDH(BITS)
Yeah, I have not seen them throw a pie at Oliver North!
They don't exactly run people through metal detectors.
Having said that, those who engage in and condone the humiliations want to signal a clean separation; saying the other side is beneath contempt.
Hope they don't throw one of those 1800 degree steaks at him. He'd be ok, because he could hear it coming from across the room.
It ius not a matter of inadequate security, it is a matter of no security.
My thoughts exactly. These idiots can walk into the building with a pie and no one notices? It is a matter of time before one of these spoiled punks takes a gun into one of these forums shoots a speaker.
I hope one oif these speakers snatches one of these punks and beats the living shiite out of him.
Damn, spell check, spell check, spell check.........
Doesn't this type of 'political statement' seem to be the province of the radical Left?
I don't recall any conservatives wasting good pie on Leftists.
