"Tom's conduct is hurting the Republican Party, is hurting this Republican majority and it is hurting any Republican who is up for re-election," Rep. Chris Shays, R-Conn., told The Associated Press in an interview, calling for DeLay to step down as majority leader.
DeLay "becomes the poster child for a lot of the things the Democrats think are wrong about Republican leadership. As long as he's there, he's going to become a pretty good target," Dodd said on ABC.

Shays has been working against the Republican party ever since they took control of Congress in 1994. He just doesn't like conservatives.

Delay needs to go! He has dubious ethics at best. He let us down by politicizing the Shiavo fiasco. And now he has become a liability. Well said. I agree.

Last week, a Houston Chronicle poll in the district indicated that 49 percent of those surveyed would vote for someone else."Well that certainly is good enough reason to become a traitor bastard and stab Delay in the back because the NY Times and Washington Post say it's time for him to go. You've got me convinced.

Another RINO traitor heard from.

When Shays advocates throwing DeLay over the side, you must consider his motivations. Shay's is a Rockefeller Republican who wants to move his party in that direction. Removing pro lifers from positions of leadership in the RP is one of Shay's goals.

Shays also voted against impeaching Clinton even after being sickened by the Juanita Broderick tape and info he witnessed. Why? His wife was working for Clinton at the time. They complain about Delay but ignore that ugly little Ct creep taking the bribe of Clinton hiring his wife.

It sort of depresses me that Mr. Shays is the successor to the great Clare Boothe Luce. I mean, it's nice to have the seat still in Republican hands -- but that control is all too nominal.

As a Republican, a Republican district organizer, and campaign contributer; I feel that I know a little about Tom Delay. I actually do grunt work for the party. I wasn't trying to be 'witty', I was suggesting you close your trap before proving your lack of knowledge. Of course, I failed, and your knowledge is on display now.
I suggest you call someone you trust, and let him/her tell you to shut up instead of me.

It is clear that the Democrats are making political hay out of this and trying to bring Delay down.
Its also clear that Delay's questionable ethics are making it easy for the Dems to do so.
