Jane Fonda wants the country to forgive her for her trip to Hanoi during the Vietnam war. But I say, "not yet." The reason: she's not really sorry! Read her new book, My Life So Far. Here's what she says about her terrible visit to the enemy's camp in July of 1972, when Richard Nixon had already begun pulling American troops out of South Vietnam and was trying to get the South Vietnamese to take over the fighting and working to bring our prisoners of war home: " . . .I do not regret that I went. My only regret about the trip was that I was photographed sitting in a North Vietnamese antiaircraft gun site." Well, if she doesn't regret making that trip, how can anyone forgive her?

Absolutely!
But the justice dept. stands in fear and trembling before the subversive ACLU who would come to Hanoi Jane's aid in a heartbeat.
They have always used the ruse that she couldn't have committed treason because Vietnam was not a declared war, ergo, they weren't the "enemy," ergo, there was no enemy to give "aid and comfort" to, ergo, no treason was committed.
It's sick.
Pray for our country.
To this day I cannot understand why this human offal was not prosecuted for treason? "It" appeared to adhere to our enemies and give them aid and comfort. Incomprehensible!
Repentanance is not enough.
A year on the lecture circuit and appearances on Fox news denouncing John Kerry and all others involved might provide atonement.
Another good one was "They Shoot Traitors, Don't They?"
(For those who don't remember one of her movies titled: "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?")
When I think of people like Fonda I think of the old short story "A Man without a Country" about a man involved in the Burr Treason sentenced to never see America again and to live aboard a navy ship the rest of his days.
People like Fonda should never be allowed to set foot on American soil again.
Letterman did a terible job of interviewing her. His questions were nothing more than her talking points in her book.
Pray for her, but don't reward her by buying her book.
I like the way you think. Screw her and her book. And the company who published her, they should rot as well.
Nam Vet
I will probably be arrested on the day of her funeral, as I intend to be there so I can be the First of many Vets to urinate on her grave.
Instead, be ever so glad you are the Great American Hero you are.... 'cause it's not going to be very sweet for 'ol Jane, when "The Big Guy" works out his plan for her.
"Apology accepted, Captain Needa." -- Darth Vader to the dying captina of the imperial star destroyer "Avenger."
If there's no beauty inside, there's no beauty outside. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Who was really worse between the two of them? I say John Kerry.
First, in betrayel to his brothers-in-arms. Secondly, for expecting to be able to fool the electorate with complicity of the mainstream media and press by passing himself as a war hero.
They are both guilty of treasonous behavior, but that war and era are over.
Who gives a damn? She only embarrasses herself.
Other than that, maybe I keep seeing her in my minds eye doing her workout.
She's quite stunning and remarkable.
Or better yet, don't buy or read her book. She sure isn't getting my money!
No offense was meant to you. I was married to a Nam Vet. The Vets will never forget what she did. My hubby is deceased now. He never forgot what she did. None of them did except the John Kerrys of the world. Hanoi Jane and Hanoi John are traitors.
