I wouldn't be so doggone sure about that, Miss Smartypants!
I've been basking in the afterglow of the visit from the punkin and family. I even got some pictures for my bedside table.
Folks, I'm sure I have days like you all have: Remember that scene in the movie "Unforgiven" when old Clint gets kicked nearly to death by Gene Hackman? I think the feeling Clint had the next morning is the one I'm most familiar with.
But you do remember what happened to Hackman in the end, doncha?
My world is rocking along, friends. One day at a time. One mountain at a time. One battle at a time.
Right now I've got fluid in my lungs, but that will get better. Just another hill to climb.
I go back to UCLA next Monday for the first stage of a two part battery of tests. At the end of the second day I'm given the first of my chemical treatments and sent home with a six week supply.
At the end of the first six weeks I'll have to report back for an evaluation. If everything is going as hoped (and prayed) I'll go back home for another twelve weeks before the next evaluation.
The exciting thing is that both of these drugs hold promise of letting me get ahead with my life. If I'm doing good, I can go back to work and carry on a normal life again.
You've prayed me over a lot of mountains, friends.
Thank you for always being here. I can feel the love and support over the many thousands of miles.

Faith hasn't had the seizure interruptor installed yet. They wanted to get some more data before doing so.
Depending on the stress factors she still has two to ten seizures a day. They're short lived and she suffers no ill effect from them except from the stares of people in public places who have never seen a seizure. We don't pay them any mind, anyway.
Ahhh, what can I tell you about my angel, Faith??
A lady told me yesterday that Faith was very lucky to have me. I explained to her that she couldn't be more wrong. Faith is my rock, and she loves the role.
We hang on to each other, and the stream of life pulls us along.
God bless you all.
I love you.
TC
What a joy to see you posting!
I'm praying for you and for Faith too; as always. Now go read your mail; I'm going to send you a note.
HUGS

Too bad you're not here to read this.......(hehe!). Hugs to Faith, hugs to you!!! Isn't that Punkin of yours something else???
It's great to hear from you TC. I'm keeping up the prayers. Posts from you always put a smile on my face.
Howdy TC,
We saw Punkin and family last weekend. Great kid! Great family!
We're all pulling for you, TC. Get well soon.
Prayers,
Jim
'Morning Cowboy!!........
It's sooooo good to see you post again! That means you're feelin' good right now :)
Prayers continue day and night for you and Faith.
We loved the visit except it was just too short. Next time it'll be longer.
BIG Texas Hugs to you and to Faith,
"TT", Beth & Nana
I see you still hold to The Motto (not that I would expect anything different from a Marine.):
Semper Fidelis
(Always Faithful, or in the modern vernacular Keep the Faith!)
Carry On!
Prayers continue for you and for Faith....God bless and keep you, and if it be Your will, dear Father, please let this good man be healed and this woman--his rock--not have any more seizures!
What an absolute JOY to see your update. Prayers continue for additional progress for you and for Faith!
Granny Hugs
Darlin', you are in every one of my prayers!!!
My loudest prayer is that you are able to come home and complete your dream!
On a side note: when you do make it home and find that kick ass weed eater gone, you will not find it in my sock drawer. ;-)
Hey, big guy. What a treat it is to hear from you!
You are definitely the man with a medical plan. Imagine it helps to know what the docs have lined up for you. Would be for me. Will be sending you extra special good thoughts for the coming week. Once they get all the good meds on board, I have no doubt you'll ramp up your internal force multiplier and help fix yourself right up. I know you have tough days but that life force of yours is something else! It comes through beautifully every time you write.
Our prayers continue for you and Faith every single day. Know what else? We love you!
Healing hugs, my friend. Healing hugs!
OH, my ..It is such a treat to hear from you..I loved the pictures and know you loved the visit..We'll be praying for you and Faith.. May God be with you with every step you make and every mountain you must climb, TC..You are loved.
Loved seeing you with Logan again! Hope you can start gaining weight after this treatment or he is gonna be bigger'n you!!
TC, I'm so glad I saw your post! Gonna have to get on a ping list again (psst...psst...BG :~) ).
I was thinking as I read what you said about you and Faith, how fortunate you both are to have each other. I knew she was beautiful on the inside from your posts about her. Saw the pics from Logan's visit...she is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside - just like her daddy! Y'all are an inspiration to us because of your courage and faith...we love you, and we're fervently praying for good results from all meds and treatments. God surround you both with just the blessings you need at just the time you need them, and comfort, strengthen and heal you - body, mind, and spirit.
Here it is, the Thursday after that Monday...
All "The Usual Suspects" - your hundreds of followers - await news of the outcome, or to know if there has been a delay because of the lung fluid.
Conscious of the fact your computer time is minimal, based upon your physical therapy, appointments, Faith's condition/activities, and just trying to rest and gather strength, I think we tend to at times slow down on posting to give you a break..:))
Fact is, most of us lift you up every single day/night, TC, praising and thanking God Almighty for listening and bringing you along each step of The Trail.
We ask Him to level the higher hills before you - eliminate the quicksand pits - scatter the rattlesnakes - blow away the pesky tumbleweeds - and in general, increase your strength and give you peace of mind through your faith that will see you through all the valleys...
I know well your heart for Him, and savor our many discussions about His Word.
Even when flat on your back unable to move, you still walk because of and with Him!
Our Marine Corps spirit and training equips us to approach the edge of any cliff looming before us, and keep marching on in step to HIS cadence call - - knowing to go over the edge is not free fall downward; but a soaring of body, mind and spirit...
Our eyes are always upon the three crosses
and the incredible Gift He gave us.
Always here at your back, TC...always will be...
Cambio, dear friend,
~ LadyX
And, what were you doing up so lating posting, hmmmmmmmm? You are supposed to get your rest .. LOL. (night owl). Did you sneak back to Texas for a quick visit??? HUH??
SO glad to hear you're on the road ... I know it's a tough one, but no one was built to take it better than YOU.
You and Faith ..God Bless you two .. whatta blessing that you're together.
Keep on truckin'!!!! You've got a whole posse, waiting to hear the next update and thinking of YOU.
Many prayers and good thoughts sent to you .. on the Night Watch
Prayers continue, Big Guy. And I know Faith loves being close to her daddy. I felt the same way with my dad when he was ill. It was one of the most rewarding times we ever shared together and there's no love like a Dad's love!
Keep working hard and know that we're all pulling for you.
Loving prayers for more healing and for peace.
We love you too, El Roy.
Hi TC,
thanks for the update.
Sorry that I haven't posted here for a few days, but know this, you and Faith are always in my prayers.
A real champion - ping!
My world is rocking along, friends. One day at a time. One mountain at a time. One battle at a time.
TC, have you noticed what has happened to the price of fuel since you stepped in that hole? Sir, all of America needs you to get well. We are all praying for you to get back to work out in them oilfields and get the price of fuel down where us common folks can afford to fill up the car and the lawnmower in the same week!
A lady told me yesterday that Faith was very lucky to have me.
Let me tell you a secret. We are all lucky to have you as a friend.
