Prayers for TexasCowboy!
TexasCowboy has been using his hip injury as an excuse to prevent his friends from shooting his new riot gun.
Well some of us offered to take a look at it for him and he decided both a proffesional and sober opinion might make more sense.
So he found a coupon and now he is going to let some old saw-bones cut on him.
Probably a better idea than letting us do it, but a few folks feelings are still hurt!
Please all say a prayer for our Cowboy that he is back in the saddle again real soon.
Check yer mail. Please.
Ok, Ok, I get confused when it's an hour past my bedtime. I now see it was you posting, but TT's Nana writing. Actually I first wrote "Nana" instead of "Abuela de Brad", but then saw who I was replying to, and changed it. My attention span gets kind of short after midnight... sometimes after 23:00.
MY attention span gets kind of short ALL the time. Check that FRmail! :)
True, of course - but Corps history is ingrained in every Marine, and relished..:))
All brave acts are remembered, and shared, and part of all links in the long, unbroken chain.
Esprit de Corps is alive and well, and always will be....
TC feels this deeply, and is as much a part of his fabric as it is mine, and why he is able to keep fighting with such confidence.
Even if he (or I) succumbs, it will not be for lack of trying, or because the cancer/whatever "wins;"
but because God wants us 'Front & Center' in His Perfect Plan for us.
We walk toward the edge of the cliff knowing God will catch us when we finally step over it.....
Time for my beauty sleep, EG - -
hugs and kisses for Missy V..:))
Of course. Everyone succumbs eventually, but some just quit trying, others go down fighting. Marines almost always are of the latter type.
My condolences for the loss to terrorist set IEDs (although apparently not all that Improvised) of your (and my!) Reserve Comrades from that reserve battalion. That had to be especially hard on the folks in the state/region the battalion is from
What a handsome pair!
Thanks for the news.
That they are!
BTTT!!!!!!
Thanks for the pictures of those Two Great looking Guys.
Yep, gotta agree with that.
BG, had to wait a bit and wipe tears before posting thanks for the update. So very thankful that meds are helping with the appetite, which equals nutrition and strength. Praying hard, with all of my heart, every day, that the others meds and treatment, plus the blessed providence and will of God will rid TC of the cancer, heal all of his infirmities, and return him to good health.
Nana, Beth, and our precious Logan, it was a total joy to read that y'all had gone to visit Uncle TC! Those wonderful pictures are proof that the Texas Termite packs a powerful medicine that is just what he needed! And, sounds like Logan would rather have been in the pilot's seat of that airplane. Ha. He may be behind the controls one day!
Just have to add that God is so good! It is an amazing and wonderful thing that so many people, who have never met in person, can come together in a common bond of love, concern, and genuine affection, as we all have done on these threads. I'm thankful to be a part of this FR "family" of prayerful people.
p.s. Could y'all put me back on the ping list? Thanks.
Hugs and Love,
LucyJo
TC is looking Good!!
Thanks For the update Gramma!

Prayers Ascending for you Texas Cowboy, and for Faith!
That's better than medicine. Continued prayers for TC and Faith.
I'll bet it will says Marines on the side of that airplane. Although it would please me greatly if it said "U.S. Air Force." But, it wouldn't suprise me if it weren't exactly an airplane, and said "U.S. Space Force" on it. :)
Wow ~ thanks BG, great news and great pix ~ Bump!
Don't let that old buzzard turn Logan into a young buzzard!
Looking good Cowboy!
That hit close to home for DollyCali, one of the hostesses on The Finest of FR, El Gato.
That Marine unit from Ohio is near where she lives in Ohio, and she was summoned to act as a grief counselor for two of those families. Unfortunately, the session was cut short by a 911 medical emergency of one of the family members being counseled.
