Prayers for TexasCowboy!
TexasCowboy has been using his hip injury as an excuse to prevent his friends from shooting his new riot gun.
Well some of us offered to take a look at it for him and he decided both a proffesional and sober opinion might make more sense.
So he found a coupon and now he is going to let some old saw-bones cut on him.
Probably a better idea than letting us do it, but a few folks feelings are still hurt!
Please all say a prayer for our Cowboy that he is back in the saddle again real soon.

Update on TC.... IMPORTANT!
Very early Saturday morning, TC "slipped", stepped on his right leg (the bad one) and broke his hip. With this new development, it was decided that he would be better with family care for the interim, and then treatment there as was previously planned.
TC should be arriving in CA shortly after this notice is posted. He will be with Faith and her husband for some R&R and also to begin treatment at a hospital out there.
He's in good spirits, looking forward to spending time with Faith and to quote him, "Letting them hit me with everything they have so I can get this stuff in remission and come back home".
Please understand that it's going to be a very busy time these first days or even week. When he gets his strength back up, he'll post. He has commented on so many personal freepmails and emails and it's just impossible for him to sit and answer them all. But he so appreciates the love being shown to him. He said he was amazed and I told him, why? "What you sow, you reap". He laughed and nodded his understanding of the love he has received from all of you.
TC is determined to win this battle. He was more apprehensive of the plane ride than the treatment awaiting him. But with a broken hip and the pain he's been in for over 6 months, that's easy to understand. Just goes to show you how very tough this gentleman is. He does what he has to do to get it done. And he will do the same with the treatment in order to come back to his land and the state he loves so dearly.
Needless to say, "thank you" seems not enough, but for the present, it's the only thing he (or I) can think of. The thread has brought hours of pleasure and smiles...and tears.. to him. Please continue your prayers. Last night for the first time he slept the night through without any pain medication. A miracle in itself.
You may be pinged again.....Brad's Gramma has some pictures that were taken when the Texas Termite aka Logan came up to tell him goodbye. I think you'll enjoy seeing the smile and mutual admiration they have for each other.
God bless you all..... and again, thank you.

Oh Nana.
Thank you so much for the update. I know you and your family are going to miss TC, but he'll be in Cali with his family. God bless all y'all. I'm still praying.

Miss him is an understatement!! But he's where he needs and wants to be. And that's what's important to us...his well being and happiness. He'll be back. He promised!

Damn it!!!! I cannot believe how many people break bones in rehab. I worked in a rehab center from the time I was 15 until I left Houston for college and NEVER - NOT ONCE did I allow a person to fall.
More prayers for TC tonight.
