Maybe it has something to do with longtime Freepers being called Nazis, pro-death, etc.
Just a guess.

I would venture to say your guess is pretty much on the mark.

Maybe it has something to do with longtime Freepers being called Nazis,While I'm sorry that you were called names....please know that I've been called a Nazi and worse for wanting our borders protected.
And I'm NOT walking. To me, that's AS silly as the name calling.
And before anyone gets on their high horse...Jim and I disagree on this issue (the borders)...and I'm still here. So? Take it or leave it. FR or somewhere else. It's STILL THE BEST forum out there....

A good guess I'd say...

Maybe it has something to do with longtime Freepers being called Nazis, pro-death, etc.Not condoning the name calling from both sides of the Terri S. debate but I can think of a helluva lot more important and urgent matters one might get upset over than being called a name on an Internet site.
I can only wonder how those who were 'offended' get along when a real crisis pops up in their lives.

I think there is something to it. My fear is that a few were also turned off by the George Bush Cheerleading Squad. I do, however, think this is a very valuable forum.

If everyone who used this cite for longer, in a year, than they do reading a magazine subsciption, pledged the price of a magazine subscription, I believe the pledge amount would be met in about two daysDifference is I don't get letters from other subscribers to the same magazine labeling me anti-Christian and part of a deathcult if I buy the magazine.

Dont forget that there were long time freepers who were called nutjobs, moonbats, fringe extremists, and holey rollers and snake handling morons. The knife cuts both ways. One of those groups just haven't run an opus a day about it and demand that every play pit party games.

Maybe it has something to do with longtime Freepers being called Nazis, pro-death, etc. 'Nazis' is inflamatory, but 'pro-death' would seem to be a neutral statement of fact.

Riiight. The whining "Greer-brigade" babies took their ball and went home.
Who cares. The Freepathon will still reach its goal even without them. If it takes an extra week--so what?

Exactly.
It's pretty sad. Someone posted (I can't remember who) that without a common "enemy", Freepers turned on each other on these Schiavo threads with the same energy and intensity that was formerly reserved for John Kerry and Hillary.
It's a shame...
