I don't see people running opus over being called moonbats and all sorts of scummy names. Heck- almost everyone called someone something- because it was VERY frustrating. I even called someone a moron- and I freep mailed them later to apologize.
But come on these dramas and these grudge matches are nonsense for adults. Words are not bullets.
That's ok tho- ebb and flow grammy.

Good night, Gabz. Dogs in, GOOD.

"Hitting them in the pocketbook" was discussed in the context of impending opuses, on the WPPFF thread, in advance of the freepathon.

Nice Freeper home page. I especially liked the football pictures. Made me laugh!

Whoops! Been busy this week and I haven't taken the time to submit my quarterly pledge. Lame excuse, only takes a minute or two via PayPal. ;)
Hey I noticed you registered the day after 9/11. When I found this place it really helped me keep it together after that day.

I think the Freepathons just before 'Tax Day' are always kinda slow.

Well, THIS time I believe you, as I was distracted with something else.
So? You're either in bed as you should be, or quietly lurking with one FR window open and a game window open.

I agree....it was on my thread.
I say again and again....there ARE SOME FOLK who are having a tough go of it...and NO ONE AT ALL wants them to donate anything. Their families need to come first.

Newbies being called "dirtbags" and told to "cough it up".I find that distasteful, to put it mildly.

I believe the opuses were timed for the first day of freepathon.
I doubt it. I know four of the OPUSed folks pretty well.
The FReepathon was not a consideration.
But let's play what if it were true:
The impact would be minimal.
Most of us donate thru PayPal.
I know my $1-a-Day is charged to me automatically.
If I OPUSed and quit, big deal: $30 whole dollars a month
or the sum total of $90 per FReepathon. The monthlies
haven't been added to the total yet, have they BG?

I'm not really here, but will somebody tell me what in the heck is the WPPFF thread? I think I read every Terri S. thread and never did see all the acrimony that I'm hearing about now. I know it was and is a subject frought with emotion, but the threads did not seem any worse than some of the Elian threads, or even some of the "Theology" discussions that go on all the time. I wish people could make their points without the personal attacks or put-downs. It's really not that hard to refrain from calling someone stupid or a fool.
