OK Boys and Girls! You've now become Freepers. You're feeling a part of the family, which you ARE! But as with everything in life....nothing is free.
So! Do you see that bar at the top of each and every thread? That's a gentle kick in the rear to donate to FR to keep the lights on.
There's ALSO a bunch of you who've been here for years and haven't donated. Do you know that there's over 200,000 Freepers now? Do you know that you can become a monthly donor and PAINLESSLY donate? Do you know that $5.00 a month by a large number of us will STOP these stupid Freepathons?
You NEVER worry about a thing. It's automatically withdrawn from your credit card, checking account..however you want it set up.
So? Get off your duffs...don't be a FReeloader anymore. It'll make you fell AWFUL good about yourself.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who are blessed with a greater ability to donate $$ than both of us put together.
Some of us live with more pressing concerns and should NOT feel guilty about it.

You know, remarks like that are an example of why Hannity made that comment about Freepers "eating our own." I just don't think it's necessary.

Hey! An annual donation of only $60 is the same as $5 per month. Sometime during the year when you have that much, pony it up. Monthlies are NOT the only way to go!
Professer, I'm really surprised at that statement from you. I hope that you meant that you are contributing "voluntarily". You do know that high powered servers are not free. You don't expect your local newspaper to deliver your paper free of charge. You don't get TV for free. You don't subscribe to magazines for free. Why would anyone expect Jim & John to spend 24/7 maning those machines so that we can get news from around the world faster than any of the three media systems we pay large $$$$ for? I am a monthly donor and I also pitch in extra for the Freepathons. I gave up all my magazines. I didn't have time to read them anyway. I'm too busy getting my news, information and entertainment at Free Republic. I would never dream of expecting so much for nothing. Go donate so we won't have to vote for a membership fee to keep the lights on.
Please quit pissing and moaning in the fundraising thread. If you've got a beef with the way this site is run, feel free to post a vanity thread and discuss it there.
