I think we have to get this issue off the back burner. What say you?

Where is the reverence for law and for our national documents? This is a very embarrassing episode.

That all depends. The wrist slap was in exchange for cooperation into the investigation.
I don't think they are letting Berger off the hook. I think they want who Berger was taking documents and altering history for.

I wouldn't even dare hope that they were going after "you know who".

I think Bush sees him as a member of the club and not subject to the same laws as the rest of us.
I think this is the one area, I agree with the democrats on. They don't treat it as a gentlemens society but as war. They try to destroy any conservative caught in any mistake, much less crime.

I think they are. The ties go into the Oil for Food corruption too.
You can't go up both sides of a tree without getting to the top.
But if I'm wrong, I'm buying an island someplace and starting my own country.

I sure hope you're right, and I'll be flabergasted if you are. If not, I have a boat, so I'll be visiting your island!

How about Billy boy. I'd like to see the documents he took. Maybe its just hiding the Clinton cocaine parties?

Look at Senator McCain and the Keating 5. This is no precedent, this is the political class being held unaccountable like back in Rome.
This is just pure government corruption at every level.

Berger was stealing (and, destroying) evidence that suggested that Willie got Iraqi oil voucher cash and that Willie was connected to OBL/9-11 and Iraq/Saddam and that they were connected. These proofs could hurt Hillie and had to be destroyed. Willie's whole record is based on the destruction/censorship of documents from his past (how about his records from Oxford concerning the student he raped to cause his expulsion?).
However, Bush can also be faulted. He has refused to purge/demote/reassign all the Clintonistas in his administration and they do damage. Any one who worked for Reno should be suspect. Any government Clintonista should be assumed to be a thief and a crook. Had W made this assumption, Berger would not have been allowed to destroy evidence, and others (Pearle and the yellow cake) would not have done harm. I wince every time I see Boucher who lied for Willie, speak for this administration!

It's onlly following hundreds of other "dangerous precedents"- most of which occurred during the Clinton sdministration.
To: clyde260
This is simply outrageous! It is so frustrating to watch this happen, why isn't this clown prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law? I don't know who I am more upset with-- The Bush administration for not pursuing this or the clown democrats for simply ignoring it,(we remember when the story broke the RATs saying we were trying to blow this out of proportion for political gain-after all Bush didn't even want the 911 investigation to take place because it might reveal his incompetence...blah blah...And now we have a democrat STEALING sensitive documents that show a complete cover up and the dems have nothing to say! Please do not let this story go.
To: clyde260
"He destroyed copies, not originals."This statement begs the question then, where are the originals?
