Here is the backlash I feared.... when the radical activists encouraged the Congress/Legislature and President/Governor to ignore the law and Constitution, what right can they have to criticize liberal activist judges? :-(

I posted this earlier today: here. Since you care so very much what dear Cynthia thinks of "conservatives," you must not be much of one.

This is pure spin BS and an attempt to refocus the debate from activist judiciary to the nasty old religious conseratives.

OF COURSE it should be expected.

Right and wrong nor the Constitution have little to do with the whole debate in the eyes of liberals.

The reason we NEED strict Constitutionalist judges is so the ELECTED representatives of the citizens can make the law and the judges can make sure the laws are fairly applied.

WHAT WE HAVE NOW IS JUDGES MAKING LAW>

Aahh, liberals have played the extremists card a few too many times. Boring!

I see the liberal from the AJC has divided and conquered. And if Tucker can bring out the Christian-bashers in the process, she's in hog heaven.

You need to come up with a better argument than the one the Christophobic leftists always trot out.

The current President Bush has already made clear that his idea of a model chief justice is Clarence Thomas, who has no respect for judicial precedent. But even Thomas might not satisfy the extremists who chastise Judge Greer. They will be satisfied with nothing less than a judiciary steeped in the same narrow religious views they want to impose on the nation.

Religious extremists? Ultraconservatives? These are buzzwords meant to appeal to and encourage the liberal "base".

The article comes nowhere near addressing the real issues.

Friends of Florida judge George Greer describe him as a low-key conservative Christian, a Republican, a family man, a dog lover.

Right. A common desire for low-key conservative Christians is to want to sentence innocent disabled people to a slow death by starvation. Got it. Judge Greer is a classic example of what happens when a court puts justice aside in favor of strict legalism. And that's being about as kind as I can be to this individual. May God have mercy on him for what he did.

As for the "backlash," the next time I take advice from an enemy will be the first time. Cynthia Tucker is just another agit-prop columnist for the culture of death.

Cynthia Tucker, I never heard of her. She must write just for money, not much passion in her words. Nothing convincing. Boring.

The congress acted according to the constitution. You on the other hand are acting only according to the emanations from the penumbra of liberalist manifesto.

Dan Rather reporting to you live......this is just incredible, folks......you won't believe this unless you see it.....can we pan over to the right, please....

There...there you have it, before your eyes....dogs...of all sizes, denominations, in a united front......protesting the alleged association with Judge Greer.

This is a sight to behold, folks......look...look...that Pit Bull has a sign that says......what ?, ok, I see it now.....the sign says, "Judge Greer, not only will I crap on your lawn, I'll eat your poodle the next time I see it!"

And over there....the weenier dog...."Greer, I fart in your general direction!"

Look at this.....the poodle says....."Judge Greer, how dare you attempt to drag my race down to this level!"

Well, Tucker may have her hand on the pulse of something, but it sure as heck is not the heart of America.

Many of the Christians on FR were criticized pretty heavily for embracing Jesse Jackson's 'outreach' to a 3/4 person, and here we have Cynthia Tucker held up as a leading and sure voice of the backlash to come.

Puhleeeeze!

The government of the United States ( all three branches) State and Federal- have no other job other than to protect the rights of the citizens of the United States of America. The federal Government has no other job other than to make certain the citizens of the United States have their rights, under the US constitution, protected.

Terri's rights to life, liberty and the right to equal representation in court were denied her.

It has nothing to do with religion or extremists. It has to do with the left running this country without ever winning elections.
