Rev. Gene Robinson: Jesus 'might be 'gay''
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | April 3, 2005 | WorldNetDaily

Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson, the first openly
homosexual bishop of his denomination, has angered
traditionalist Anglicans by suggesting that Jesus
Christ might have been homosexual.

Robinson, who left his wife – and mother of his two
daughters – to cohabit with his male lover, Mark, made
his inflammatory remarks during an address
titled, "Homosexuality and the Body of Christ: Is There
a New Way?" at Christ Church of Hamilton and Wenham,
Massachusetts. The bishop was asked by a congregant how
Christians could both accept homosexuality and the
Bible's emphasis on redemption for sins.

Perhaps the Bishop needs a new bible.
It seems that many pages have fallen out or are
missing from his.

Mr. Robinson it is one thing for me to kill myself.
For that I can repent and ask forgiveness for.
How does one repent and seek forgiveness for others
that one has fooled into committing the same?

Romans 1:20
Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power
and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been
understood and seen through the things he has made. So
they are without excuse;
21 for though they knew God, they did not honor him as God
or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their
thinking, and their senseless minds were darkened.
22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools;
23 and they exchanged the glory of the immortal God for
images resembling a mortal human being or birds or four-
ooted animals or reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them up
in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the degrading
of their bodies among themselves,
25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie
and worshiped and served the creature rather than the
Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to degrading passions.
Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural,
27 and in the same way also the men, giving up natural
intercourse with women, were consumed with passion for one
another. Men committed shameless acts with men and
received in their own persons the due penalty for their
error.
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God
gave them up to a debased mind and to things that should
not be done.
29 They were filled with every kind of wickedness, evil,
covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife,
deceit, craftiness, they are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-
haters, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil,
rebellious toward parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
32 They know God's decree, that those who practice such
things deserve to die—yet they not only do them but even
applaud others who practice them.

1 Corinthians 6:9
Surely you know that the wicked will not possess God's
Kingdom. Do not fool yourselves; people who are immoral
or who worship idols or are adulterers or homosexual
perverts.

Seems like the global Anglican community will indeed have a scism--the American branch of Anglicanism would rather follow the ways of the world than the ways of God.

Jesus was not "sexual" other than being a male. His ONLY goal was to save HUMANS from burning in hell for eternity by believing he is the SON OF GOD and asking him into your heart and life. He didn't come to earth for orgasms, march in parades, have multiple sex partners or anything sexual. Gays CAN ask him for forgiveness and are welcomed to do so. It's anybodies choice. If you choose not to believe, nothing will happen to you......in this life.

Five bucks says Li'l Andy Sullivan enthusiastically endorses this "theory" on his site, within the week. Any takers...? :)

Gay Jesus?

Nothing new in this idea. Google search yields many sites that contend Jesus was either a homosexual or bisexual. From the same whackos who contend that Abraham Lincoln was light in the loafers.

Probably already has endorsed it. See post #10.

I did a net search thinking this isn't possible and that no way could he have said something so outrageous on the grounds that it would cause as much a firestorm as his open homosexuality and he must know this but.....

Jesus might have been homosexual, says the first openly gay bishop

Robinson, however remains undaunted by the criticism, saying he has reconciled his homosexuality and his faith. "God's light and God's life ooze over me like warm butter," he declares.

He really said that?

Some of you were like this; but you were washed, you were
sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Just when you think these people couldn't sink any lower.....

Old Gene has been resading too much Andrew Sullivan, and like others of his ilk does not think with the head on his shoulders.

When I first read Wonkette on Andrew Sullivan, I thought she was being overly crude... now I am having a change of heart. I wish she would get on Gene Robinson's case.

Warm butter, that's just so eloquent. Lucifer is the light- bringer tough guy.

From that article:

Jesus might have been homosexual, says the first openly gay bishop

"The Rt Rev Gene Robinson, the Bishop of New Hampshire in
the Episcopal Church of the United States, said that Jesus
was an unmarried, "non-traditional man" who did not uphold
family values, "traveled with a bunch of men" and enjoyed
an especially close relationship with one of his
disciples."

Gene...er....Lucifer is that you?
What a whopper of a lie.
