Daylight-Saving Time Returns This Weekend (Spring Forward -- set clocks ahead by 1 hr tonight)
Yahoo News ^ | April 2, 2005 | AP

WASHINGTON - Break out the croquet set and set up the barbecue. Daylight-saving time was making its return this weekend.

That meant pushing the clocks ahead — spring forward — to gain an hour of light in the evening for warm summer recreation. The official change was at 2 a.m. Sunday, local time.

It's also a good time to replace batteries in smoke alarms, safety advocates urge.

Daylight-saving time ends the last Sunday in October.

Some parts of the country don't observe daylight-saving time. These include Arizona, Hawaii, the part of Indiana in the Eastern time zone, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and American Samoa.

Just completed the task (with spouse's assistance), during which we realized we have fourteen (14) clocks - counting the microwave, oven, coffee maker....

Now we are resting to begin again in October!

Change your clocks - change your batteries...

Smoke detectors, CO detectors, diabetics: change your glucose meter's battery; and the batteries in any other gadgets around the house you count on to protect your safety and health.

I don't like Day Light Saving Time. Thinking about setting the clock ahead 2 hrs right now, so tomorrow I will get to set it back an hour :-)

They are easier to change than the ones in the kids. Who should have been in bed an hour ago but are still up and will be short tempered all day tomorrow. At least the dogs don't get that emotional over the whole thing.
