Help! I have Fallen through the Looking Glass!
Posted on 04/01/2005 2:47:27 PM PST by Thom Pain
I have been struck today by how much of the current news/events make no sense to me.
- The Terri Schiavo travesty
- Countless $$Billion UN scam and NO NEWS Coverage
- U.S. Supreme Court & "International Sentiment"
- We fund the UN's efforts to undermine freedom and promote socialism/totalitarianism
- Pres wants to reward law-breaking invaders coming over our borders
- Sandy Berger pleads guilty to acts that would put me in jail and merely gets a $10k fine
- We are funding the ACLU's efforts to destroy our system of laws
- Our Congress has positioned us so that we are totally dependent on the Wahabbis for our oil
- IRAQ isn't selling us oil at a steep discount
What is it about these (and other) events/situations that I don't understand. To me, each of these situations is ridiculous, and yet we are faced with them daily and told "...not to worry."
Help me understand.

How long was the nap you just woke up from? We complain about the media hammering the president, hell I want them to hammer him, just about things that matter a flip.
Terri was important as it was a watershed case, but of course the coverage was overblown especially compared to the way she was ignored before her tube was jerked.
I really think the media uses these stories in order to AVOID having to cover things that matter. Actually, I think they think we'll turn off our tvs if they cover anything that isn't totally BREAKING RIGHT NOW! And the politicians love it because they don't want to talk about it either. Helluva way to run a country.
I suggest you lay down and go back to sleep.

Thanks. FYI, I haven't been sleeping, I've been working my a** off providing for my family, funding countless tax-exempt subversive groups like NPR, ACLU, etc, and supporting our national and international defense. I haven't been asleep, I just have recently become overwhelmed. Spent over two hours today trying unsuccessfully trying to reach my Senators to protest the amnesty for illegals scam being attached to the emergency spending bill.
But, you can take comfort in knowing that your comments were of no value in explaining how so many apparently informed and qualified people (the three branches of our Gov't) can be so far off base. Is everything based on lobbiests influence?

Understand that we never know the whole, true story about anything political. Secret deals are always being made.
Therefor, your guess is as good as mine...

I'm not the only one then. Every time I get a chance to leave ny computer and look out the window I see Bluebirds and rainbows. I sleep well at night knowing things are A-OK in Washington.

If you will read some of the material in the post below (and there is a LOT of information there!) you will start to get a sense of the Big Picture. I suggest you start with the ACLU/UN/Communism section near the end.

Not only does Sandy Burger get only a small fine, but he gets his SECURITY CLEARANCE BACK in three years! That's like telling a teacher who molests a child he gets to teach again in three years. It's beyond absurd.

..and the world is waiting and watching for word on the Pope's health.
We just went through a life and death travesty and now we will be inundated by a second-by-second update on the apartment with the light bulb.
I'm tired of 'the news' ... and FOX is more OPRAH than what it used to be.

Quintessential lunacy, complicity in crime and perversion of the law in the Burger case. He should be pulling hard time. The NY Slimes covering the story didn't mention the stuffing of documents in socks and underwear!
But Sandy will need his clearance in three years...as the Security Head for Hillary Regina and Bubba Rex. (Yes, Freepers, she does have a good shot at the crown...)

At Starbucks, the "grande" is the "small" and the "vente" is the "large." But there is no actual "small" or "large" listed on the menu.

My brother told of visiting a roadside convenience store in the American West that had two sizes of fountain drinks: medium and regular.
I don't know which was the larger.
