At this point, I really don't care what he has to say concerning the late Terri. Her case is settled.

He was also 25% ashkenazi jew. He hated himself so badly that he wanted to wipe out everything in the world that reminded him of himself. Classic projection.

You are right. Terri's life will not have been lived in vain. I am terribly saddened by this whole tragedy. Chachi has a great entry today (I don't know how to link to articles) in Chachi's Spanktuary. All the people who say they care about trees, whales, seals, owls, frozen space in Alaska, terrorists' rights, murderers' rights, women's rights have to stand in silent shame as they have done absolutely nothing for Terri's rights. I wish God's grace for the Schindler family. What I wish for the "husband" I will keep to myself.

Amen to that. Terri was not killed by the Bushes and both went the distance in their attempts to save her using every legal means available to them. There are opinions from some that the Bushes especially Jeb had more power to act. But remember these were just opinions. The Bushes are not the villian the villians are Michael Schiavo, George Felos, Ronald Cranford, Judge Greer and the rising Culture of Death supported by so many bioethicists. Let Terri's death not be in vain. Fight the Culture of Death. Support life with dignity for all persons.

That is why we have to get those laws changed! For your son, granddaughter and nephew and for all disabled persons!

Many people wanted, all in the name of saving Terri's life, to fight judicial tyranny by replacing it by, well... executive tyranny.

So sad.

Anyway, prayers for Terri and may she be now showered with God's glory.

I know.. Here is the thing, not all laws are good. If you want a law to be changed put pressure on the legislative branch! I expect politicians who makes these laws obeys them as well. No one is above the law in this land. Republican or Democrat.

"If a low-level judge has more power to take a life than the president and governor have to save a life, we have no constitutional rights. The judges are now the supreme branch of government."

Needed repeating!

"talke about hypocrites.

This issue has really brought them out hasn't it. To tell you the truth, the biggest losers in this case may be the religious right. I am not advocating this and I could be wrong of course, only time will tell, but that thought has crossed my mind of late.

He started with the invalid elderly, went to the disabled, then the Jews, then those without blond hair and blue eyes - even though he was brown/black haired with brown eyes!

Ironically, Goebbels had a club foot, and thus would have been eligible to be euthanized under the Nazi decrees.

Jeb Bush should have been so outraged that he simply had her removed from the hospice. Some people say that this would have started some kind of gunfight with the police there. Well, I bet that the police there are paid to be there by the hospice. No matter. A couple of calls to the right people and the local police would have just stood aside. There would have been no fight.

If Bush did what some people are suggesting, guess what they will complain about it.

It would have been Janet Reno and her jackbooted thugs, redux. Why anyone would want the power of the military and big government to overrule, by fiat, the judicial process is beyond me. It's not what the founding fathers envisioned, but it most certainly is situational conservatism (conservative until something I don't like happens, then I want big brother to intervene).

Mr. President.......we HAVE WMD right here.!!!!!!!! They are sitting on the THRONES of our COURTROOMS.We will be destroyed from WITHIN faster than without!!!

Right. While protection against foreign enemies is necessary, it is also necessary to protect against domestic killers.

Judges: our new threat to life.

I wasn't expecting this at all. I have to say I am pretty disappointed.

Yes. Bush just took a big political hit. He blew his chance. Maybe he's waiting for them to finish writing his speech.
I' d still vote for him again if I could because of the other good things he's done, but I have lost a bit of respect for him, even though right now I'm not sure why. I'll have to think about it.
