I understand your anger and agree with the sentiment. We agree that this is the vehicle for change . . . I just happen to believe that it's a better wedge with this outcome. The focus stays where it belongs and the legal battle rages on. Had George or Jeb acted, all of the focus would have been on them and on the power issue within the government. To me that is not the real issue. The real issue is how we treat the disabled. The real issue is preventing the euthanasia movement from seizing this opportunity. If George or Jeb had acted, they would have been empowered and this would be a win for them. Now . . . the jury is still out and the fight rages on.

And this country is going to SUFFER the consequences. I don't think so. Millions of Americans of goodwill have prayed and done what they could in this issue. Sometimes God allows things to happen to change hearts, and teach a lesson. I see that going on daily as a result of this case. Important matters of life and death are being considered now, when they may not have been had it not been for Terri Schiavo's struggle.
People around here need to realize that euthanasia of the old and sick -- by the millions -- has been going on for a very long time in this country -- it's just been done in individual cases, out of the limelight. Now the light is on, and those charged with making such decisions in the future may think more about their actions.
God moves in mysterious ways, after all.

Bombing Auschwitz would have been an act of insanity for the Allies. It would have killed hundreds or thousands of prisoners and would have done nothing to shorten the war or liberate the victims of Nazi horror.
The Nazis alone are to blame for the Holocaust.
Condolences for your dad's family.

To accuse people who have a passionate conviction about this issue as being "Nancies" would be like accusing the survivors of the Battle of the Bulge who cry when they discuss that battle of being weak men.
I'm passionate. Anyone calls me a Nancy to my face finds out very fast that I am no Nancy. You ought to rein in your emotions and not insult people with such terms.

Why is he talking about our intelligence and terrorism? Maybe because that's what he really meant to talk about, and the headline is wrong?

"The president has a DUTY to PROTECT and UPHOLD the CONSTITUTION for ALL citizens."
I think you may have an intermittent problem with your caps lock key.
The Bush brothers, either one, could have solved this problem with one stroke of the pen but neither one had the stones to do so!
And of course, Congress was too busy with their Easter break vacations...
Well Terri Schiavo was PERFECT in God's eyes and she is in a better place.
May Terri Schiavo Rest in Peace.
All you Bush Fan Club members can flame away if you like,
I have my asbestos suit on today. LOL

If I were disabled I'd be a bit nervous. We now have a precedent where the disabled who can't speak for themselves can be killed on the say-so of someone who stands to gain from their death.
Until Terri, I'm not sure our nation really knew that went on. Well, they know now.

If I stay on this thread I'm going to get myself banned. I'd like to know what all the screeching hoardes would have had the President do? Specifically? Not just screech that he should have done "something", but what? They would have gone in with the military if necessary and killed anyone who stood in their way. Rule of law and the Costitution be dammed.

Can you believe this -- one post and here they are? In reading some of these postings, I am reminded of the same things being said on different issues like the 2000 election when Pres Bush was running, California Recall, etc. Third party people stirring the pot it looks like to me aka Buchananites, Libertarians, etc. not to mention the trolls from the left.Stereotype much?

The Bush Brothers behaved COWARDLY and blinked when challenged by the SWAMP Judge. Our nation will suffer DEARLY not only because of the HORRIBLE decision and precedent rendered by the Judges but because of THEIR cowardice.
Talk is CHEAP!
