We Americans get to know everything about our own government's atrocities (this time perpetrated by the Judicial Branch). How much more accountable we must be. At least we haven't killed millions, like the NAZIs. No. Wait. Whe have killed roughly 40 million innccent, helpless human beings.
Moloch must be happy.
Murder most foul. Killed by a husband charged by God to love, honor, and protect. Killed by judicial fiat from a judge who has arrogated to himself unchallenged power. Killed by a blind nation, unwilling to see the truth, but all too willing to stand by and do nothing in the face of evil.
The rule of law is broken, bereft of the moral legitimacy upon which it must stand. My nation stands accused. I am one of the accusers.
Dear Lord, we know that even though we do not understand, and cannot see how, You make all things work together for good. We lift up Terri to You, and ask that You show her divine mercy and love.
We pray that You will strengthen those of us left behind, guide our footsteps, and forgive us when we stray.
Dear Lord, we ask that You help us use this tragedy for eventual good. We ask that You guide us is this effort. We ask that You open the eyes of those who are so blind.
Dear Lord, we ask that You help our nation find our way back to You. We ask that once again Your name shall be hallowed in our land.
Most of all, Lord, we ask that Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
We pray this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Germans were not entirely unaware of what the regime was up to - hence the need for propaganda films like "Dasein Ohne Leben", whose themes have been repeated over and over by the likes of Felos and Greer.
However, once the Germans did start to see the effect of the policy, you are correct, they created a furore which forced the regime to be more quiet about the policy.
