Thank you. Every death is sad, and Terri's is no exception.

Perhaps it is time to quietly confront people with their role in this, what someone has termed "THE LONGEST PUBLIC EXECUTION IN AMERICAN HISTORY": perhaps some Freeper can design an "I HELPED STARVE TERRI" logo that can be printed and proudly displayed by those so eager to see her die. Use it on a certificate suitable for framing for Judges Greer and Whittemore, the Schiavo lawyers, and the hospice doctors. It will look nice on the wall next to their law or medical degrees. The same could be sent to the mainstream media reporters who are so eager to point out how peaceful death by starvation is. All involved will be proud in future years to point out their "heroic" role to their children and grandchildren.

Not the right time for this IMO. I too disagree with the majority here, but respect their sincerity and the grief they are feeling right now.

Agreed... at least she's in heaven now. Not to sound disrespectful, but we can only hope that is the case. No person knows another person's state of affairs with God.

OMG. How very sad and needless. I had a sad feeling it would be today. She was a strong, courageous lady.

"Sheesh, you people act as if she was the Messiah. She is better off in God's hands."
I don't see her that way. I DO see her as a symbol now for our Constitutional Rights and how they can just be flushed down the toilet. Who's next? You? Better make sure you married the right woman, and/or that you have all of your paperwork in order.
Who else do 'we people' see as the Messiah, in your not-so-humble opinion? Who else should we not consider to be 'symbols' of something larger than we are? (And if you had a clue as to what a "Messiah" truly is, you wouldn't be so flip about throwing the term around.)

I am reserving any talk about what to do about this crime until I calm down and an appropriate mourning time has passed
