Did anybody catch the 2 Michael Schiavo "supporters" on H&C tonight? They were a couple of typical hippie-hags from the far left, who said they went to Florida to counter-demonstrate against the Terri Schiavo supporters, who they called "religious Nazis". Colmes grovelled and slobbered all over them, but Hannity's first question, directed to one of the hags, was, "What does that say on your shirt?". She replied, "Revolutionary Communist Youth League". Brilliant, Alan, just brilliant.

For the record I'm not a real fan of Terry either, but I'm a bit bemused by the idea he is more repugnant than Felos. And that he is the face of the pro-Life movement. Hardly. Terri has become a face. Her mother, her family have become faces of the movement. They'll be the ones remembered long from now, not the lawyer.

More precisely, I think the American people are seeing that this is not a "take her off life support" story, but the story of a strange man starving and dehydrating a sick woman to death.

Miss Behave... please read the transcript from tonight's Hannity and Colmes. Two young communist Michael Schiavo supporters went on and on listing what Randall Terry had been involved in. It made me cringe to listen to it...it's the left that say it's all about Randall Terry -we're responding to the interview! Shallow? c'mon.

It is starvation in Terri's case, because as evidenced by the court documents she could eat and drink, but, the judge, as ordered by the husband, refused to allow anyone to give Terri food or water.
Although her nurses did sneak her soft food and water behind the judge's back.
Judge Greer ordered the feeding tube removed and then effectively ordered Terri's mouth taped shut.
Her lawyers said that anyone caught trying to give her food or water would be arrested.
I don't know how this could be defined as anything other than forced starvation.
I'm one of those people. Before I knew anything about this case I thought she should be "allowed to die". My understanding of the case was: Terri Schiavo has been brain-damaged for years and her husband has been fighting her family in court (for a long time) to take her off of life-support so that she could die.
Then I actually took the time to look into the case and after learning the facts of the case, I changed my mind. I ;earned that Terri Schiavo was not on artificial life support at all but only recieved her food through a feeding tube. This fact made a huge differene to me because my own father was ona feeding tube for the last three years of his life. My family and my Dad NEVER considered this to be artificial life support and that is simply because it is not. Food and water are required for all living beings to live. The healthiest person in the world will DIE if they are denied food and water.
After reading up on this case (and I still have not read it all), I came to believe that there is a travesty being commited down in Florida. I firmly believe that Terri Schiavo is being murdered.
There is nothing "natural" about her impending death as is the case with terminally ill patients whose bodies are in the process of dying and slowly shut down due to their illness (this was the case with my Dad. In his last week, his body was not absorbing his food anymore. I was aware that this was a sign that his death was likely imminent but I still fed him as much as his body would 'accept'. He knew this as well and yet he still wanted to be fed and he also wanted to call the doctor and find out if there was anything that could be done to help him as he did not want to die yet...).
Terri Schiavo does not have a terminal illness. She is brain damaged. There are many who say she is in a PVS state and there are many who say she is not and that with rigorous therapy (which has been denied to her by her husband) there may be a slight chance of some recovery.
Nonetheless, she is NOT dying of a termianl disease and she is not being kept alive by anything other than nutrition and hydration - something ALL living beings need to remain living. This is the main issue for me.
The HUGE problem I have with this is that the removal of Terri Schiavo's feeding tube is not ALLOWING her to die but rather it is CAUSING her to die. That is, IMHO, nothing short of murder.
Something tells me Terri Schiavo collapsed and went into this coma 15 years ago because Michael Schiavo tried to do great bodily harm to her. If she dies, everybody will be waiting for that autopsy report.
IT HAD BETTER BE A FULL AUTOPSY OF HER ENTIRE BODY WHEN IT OCCURS. ANYTHING LESS WILL BE ANOTHER SCANDAL IN THIS LONG-GOING TRAGEDY.

I don't think I made my post clear, God'sgrrl, which is MY fault. I agree with what you say, expressly. I was talking about detractors, and more specifically those on this board, flailing to deflect and bait-and-switch the REAL issue--the court ordered, purposeful starvation of a defenseless innocent, whose *wishes* have been fogged and self-contradicted by Michael himself--to one of a perceived unbecoming representative (Randall Terry,) who they are trying their DARNDEST to put front and center, in place of a starving human being.
Alan Colmunist is an a_hole. I used to think it was just an act. But no one could be that stupid without lots of dedicated practice
