(AP) - ALEXANDRIA, Va.-A federal judge said Monday she soon will set a trial date for Zacarias Moussaoui, the only defendant charged in the United States in the Sept. 11 terror attacks on the United States.
U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema said the government and Moussaoui's lawyers have conferred privately and agreed on a trial schedule. Brinkema did not reveal the agreement but said she has misgivings about the proposal. She promised, in a two-page order, to set a date "in the near future."
