After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
Thank you!!
Pro-lifers never give up. :)
Just heard on the radio that Terri Schiavo has now gone to long with out food and water that even if she would be saved now she will likely not make it as there is to much damage that has been done to her. How sad!
MARCH 28,2005
10:15 AM ET
I JUST SPOKE WITH BOB SCHINDLER, TERRI'S FATHER. LAST NIGHT
TERRI HAD TWO OLD FRIENDS VISIT WITH HER. THE TWO WOMAN USED TO PARTY WITH TERRI. THEY WERE ON TERRI'S VISITORS LIST AND RECENTLY ARRIVED INTO TOWN TO VISIT TERRI. WHEN TERRI SAW THEM SHE BECAME EXCITED AND BEGAN INTERACTING WITH THEM, RAISING HER ARM, AND TRYING TO TALK TO THEM. MR. SCHINDLER SAID, " DESPITE HOW SUNKEN IN HER FACE IS BECAUSE THEY ARE STARVING AND DEHYDRATING HER, SHE WAS ALERT, VIBRANT AND WONDERFUL LAST NIGHT."
MR. SCHINDLER IS WORRIED BECAUSE HE NEVER KNOWS HOW MUCH MORPHINE THEY WILL GIVE TO HER IN BETWEEN HIS VISITS. HE BELEIVES IT IS THE MORPHINE THAT THEY ARE GIVING TO HER WHICH MAKES HER LETHARGIC, CONSEQUENTLY MAKING IT MORE DIFFICULT FOR HER TO BREATH.
PLEASE PRAY FOR A MIRACLE. TERRI IS FIGHTING TO REMAIN ALIVE.
IF YOU KNOW HOW TO HELP HER....PLEASE USE YOUR CONTACTS.
CONTINUE TO CALL THE PRESIDENT. BEG HIM TO PLEASE TAKE ACTION TO SAVE TERRI. TERRI IS NOT READY TO DIE...SHE HAS A RIGHT TO LIVE AND SHE NEEDS OUR HELP BEFORE THEY OVERDOSE HER WITH MORPHINE.
THANK YOU,
CHERYL

Unless the Lord decides otherwise.
I just received this from RightMarch.com:
TAKE ACTION: Here are the two areas we need you to take
action in NOW:
1) Governor Jeb Bush has made several statements the last few
days, claiming that he doesn't have the constitutional or
statutory authority to take Terri in to protective custody.
But as we've mentioned before, we *personally* told his people
FACE TO FACE that he DOES have that authority: we had a
meeting on March 23 between folks from RightMarch.com (William
Greene and our attorney, Larry Klayman) and Governor Bush's
chief counsel (his top lawyer on staff). Then we had a meeting
on March 24 between our folks (this time, Larry Klayman AND
Ambassador Alan Keyes) and Gov. Bush's Chief of Staff. Both
times, we presented information on why the Governor DOES have
the authority RIGHT NOW under Florida Law and the Florida
constitution to take Terri into protective custody NOW, and
save her life.
But Gov. Bush failed to take action. Why? We believe that his
staff -- the political cronies that he has surrounded himself
with -- have NOT given him the documents we provided. They
just smirked and gave us political platitudes, acting like
they were doing US some big favor by granting us five minutes
of their valuable time. Then they walked off, apparently
tossing Dr. Keyes' well-researched documents into the trash
when they got back to their spacious corner offices.
These people are more interested in protecting their political
careers than saving Terri's life. So it's time for US to turn
up the heat on them, and DEMAND that they deliver the documents
that Gov. Bush NEEDS -- so he can save Terri Schiavo.
Ambassador Keyes and Larry Klayman are STILL willing to meet
with the Governor, or to have a conference call to explain
his authority, and his DUTY.
We need EVERYONE READING THIS MESSAGE to call Governor Bush's
lead counsel and chief of staff RIGHT AWAY, and tell them to
do one simple thing:
"SHOW GOVERNOR BUSH THE DOCUMENTS FROM ALAN KEYES AND
LARRY KLAYMAN -- TELL HIM TO EXERCISE HIS CONSTITUTIONAL
AUTHORITY, AND TAKE TERRI SCHIAVO INTO PROTECTIVE
CUSTODY RIGHT AWAY."
Call, fax or e-mail now:
Raquel Rodriguez, General Counsel

William Large, Deputy Chief of Staff
850-488-5603 (office)
850-922-4292 (fax)

Also contact Gov. Bush and ask him to read the documents:

(If you get busy signals, or full mailboxes, or unanswered
fax machines, please know that these ARE the correct numbers
and addresses. Just keep trying, if you can.)
You can click below to read -- AND USE -- Alan Keyes'
documentation that explains to Gov. Jeb Bush that he has the
legal authority to save Terri Schiavo... the SAME document
that we delivered to Gov. Bush's staff:

2) On Monday, we'll be sending several representatives up to
Washington, D.C., to confront House Speaker Dennis Hastert and
Congressman Tom DeLay, asking them to explain why they have
not enforced the subpoenas issued by Congress to Terri Schiavo.
Our people will also urge Congress to find Florida Probate
Judge George Greer in contempt for deliberately IGNORING Terri
Schiavo's subpoena.
Call, fax or e-mail Reps. Hastert and DeLay now, urging them
to enforce the Congressional subpoenas and to hold Judge Greer
in contempt -- and to therefore order the re-insertion of Terri
Schiavo's feeding tube... and ask President Bush to order the
Department of Justice to move in to save Terri:

As long as Terri has breath in her body, IT'S NOT TOO LATE to
save her from starving to death. Her family hasn't given up
hope... so NEITHER SHOULD WE.
Thanks Lauren.
We can continue to make Jeb's life miserable. Don't give up!
Yep, that is the truth!
Oh I can HARDLY look at that photo. Somehow I see lucifer himself, don't know about the rest of you, but that is plain, evil.
Yes, Jeb, my heart is broken too. No, no more Florida produce in this house. Let me remind Jeb, too that this family voted last week when he wimped out against a county probate judge that we would never vacation in Florida again.
Gingrich defends Congress
Monday, March 28, 2005
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said the Schiavo case will have a lasting impact on how people view government.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich defended Congress' actions in the Terri Schiavo case.
He said he thinks Schiavo will have a lasting impact on America.
"I think you're going to find that the underlying impact of this is going to be greater anger at judges and greater anger at a secular state that would impose this kind of killing on an innocent person," Gingrich said.

Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Florida ping list!. . .don't be shy.
NEED EVERYONE TO TAKE ACTION.
Good, I e-mailed him this morning! I have tried to call but his phone line is busy which is good. That means people are calling him and telling him to act. I fear it is to late, but i swear if and when terri dies we need to keep on Jeb and George to investigate Terri's death and stay on top of them! I have lost all respect for them, but i swear I'm going to rid them till Kingdom come if I have to!
LOCAL FAMILY TAKES CARE OF DISABLED DAUGHTER IN TERRI'S CONDITION
Understanding the pain
Monday, March 28, 2005
The Brocatos have cared for their daughter, Lisa Watson, the past 15 years.
Friends of the Schindlers, who have a daughter in a very similar condition to Terri Schiavo, have gone down a different road.
Thirty-seven-year-old Lisa Watson suffered similar health problems to Schiavo. In fact, Watson spent a year in the same long-term care facility as Schiavo.
That's where Watson's parents, Mike and Dorothy Brocato, met the Schindlers.
"We'd have lunch together, have the girls in wheel hairs," Dorothy Brocato said.
But during the past 14 years, the Brocatos and the Schindlers have gone down very different paths in trying to care for their daughters.
"We're fortunate that we have a son-in-law that turned Lisa over to us," Mike Brocato said.
"My heart really goes out to the Schindlers because I know how I feel about my daughter, and we have a very good son-in-law that gave her to us," Dorothy Brocato said.
For the Brocatos, their journey with their daughter began when she was 22. She had difficulty during childbirth. Just eight days later she collapsed. Her heart stopped three times. Against all odds, she lived, but suffered severe brain damage.
The Brocatos have since dedicated their lives to taking care of their daughter.
"I'll take care of her until the day I die," Dorothy Brocato said.
The Brocatos believe with time, new medical technology will be able to Like Terri Schiavo, Watson suffered brain damage and lapsed into a coma.
"Where there's life, there's hope," Mike Brocato said.
Fourteen years after the difficult journey began, the Brocatos said their daughter's condition improves slowly with daily physical therapy.
"When I first brought her home she was lifeless," Mike Brocato said. "Now she'll follow anybody that's in the room."
Meanwhile, they've watched as the Schindlers struggled to keep their daughter alive.
"I feel like Michael [Schiavo] should have had more feelings for the Schindlers and given them custody of Terri," said Dorothy Brocato. "That's all they wanted."
The Brocatos wish the Schindlers were also given an opportunity to keep hope for their daughter.
In their 70s, the Brocatos are making plans for their daughter to be taken care of after they're no longer able. They plan to leave custody of their daughter with their two sons and a nurse.
