After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.

Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.

Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.

The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.

Santorum said today that they do indeed plan to do something about that.

He urged people to contact their House Representatives and urge them to take action against these judges. It needs to start in the House, he said, so that's why we need to contact our Representatives first.

I am be wrong but: when someone buys a plot in a cemetery, they own it, although the cemetery has certain regulations. But as far as the HINO preventing a plaque, I don't think that's possible.

The husband from hell has made sure the Schindlers have nothing to do with Terri's burial. She is to be cremated and buried in Pennsylvania in the SCHIAVO family plot.

Yep, Congress too. That judge just told the President and Congress to sit down and shut up. They were informed that no one crosses the judiciary. I guess we'll see if they do indeed sit down and take it.

If a person becomes a ward of the state, does the state now have the right to withhold food and water if the person is unable to feed themselves for whatever reason?

I know we're all feeling badly here, and please know I'm not attacking your POV...I respect your opinion. But it's not a better of it making us feel better...it is so. If the President would just stand up and say he is truly angry about what just happened to one of his own citizens, I'd feel better. But instead of "The Buck Stops Here," we're getting, "I did all I could."

I have always stated this is a much bigger picture than Terri. This involves all of us.

Terri is going on to a much better place... if I were here I would not fight it anymore. She is such a fighter, but to look at this site alone you see the division, and anger. It makes me want to get to heaven as quick as God will allow as well......

Oh, good grief. How many 20 somethings tell their husband, "don't keep me alive" and "I want no memorial".Not even a headstone. MS must really think everyone is stupid.

My 65 year old mom just the other day finally told me what she wanted and it came about because of Terri. I am in my 40's and hadn't said anything up to now.

Pegita, I don't think the Schindlers can have a marker for "Terri Schindler" next to their own grave markers when that time comes. It has to do with exclusive rights to Terri's "estate." The law is an ass, but Dickens put it too mildly.
