After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
Don't feel broken. God heard us...each one of us. And that makes us victorious. He KNOWS what He's doing.
I'm sure they're devastated.
I just called my state reps office to get her to start legislation to prevent a judge like Geer from doing the same thing in Illinois. I think I will get on the lines for other officials to get them started on a law to provide food and drink to the disabled.
Jake Hess singing now:
"There is no power can conquer you when God is on your side. It is no secret what God can do!"
We may have lost the battle with regard to Terri and the sanctity of life, friends, but the WAR IS ALREADY WON, PRAISE GOD!
Our hope is in the eternal.
now the tears come...........
I'm not crying, but I'm numb! I can't even think straight!
That is wrong on so many levels- but how about this,
It is the Government who is starving to death a disabled woman.
I am sorry but Jeb "blinked". He didn't pass the GW test. He may be a good man- but he has shown us he is not an outstanding leader.
Jeb should have had Greer arrested long ago.
Michael R. Schiavo could do only what "government" allowed him to do. He is evil, but he has government support. He even works for government.
There is no excuse for an obviously innocent woman to be murdered in this nation when there was so much to save her.
You remember what FDR said? The buck stops here. The buck stops at W's desk first and Jeb's second. No passing the buck.
Truman said that, not FDR.
You forgot the "< /sarcasm>" tag...:-)
I don't care who said it...it's true.
I think it was HST who said "the buck stops here." If executive power is not used, it is lost from inertia.
Birch went on to scold President Bush and Congress for their attempts to intervene in the judicial process, by saying: "In resolving the Schiavo controversy, it is my judgment that, despite sincere and altruistic motivation, the legislative and executive branches of our government have acted in a manner demonstrably at odds with our Founding Fathers' blueprint for the governance of a free people -- our Constitution."
AND WE WONDER ABOUT AMERICA??? They THINK THEY ARE DOING THIS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
I would imagine the same can be said of morals, values and convictions.
We have one screwed up country and Judicial System!
There's been a coup in this country...we are now subjects of the judicial crown...headed by King George. I don't think that's too much of a stretch, my friends.
How can he stop them from doing THAT?
Not at all.
God knew what the Appellate Court would say, but managed to make sure those words caught my eye.
God is still on the Throne; God is still in control. This is evil, wrong, unjust, yes, but He allowed this to go on and on and on and on, for a reason we know not yet why. But a reason there is. We must pray that His perfect will be done. And trust that He will see it through.
Satan will win battles, but the war is already over, and he lost.
Our God reigns.
Keep your chin up. "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16)
We must prayer for revival in this country.
I'm sure they're devastated.
You forgot the "< /sarcasm>" tag...:-)
Your views and those of the others blaming Jeb and W is what is really scarring me.
