Rick Barnard of Morris, Illinois, wass arrested Sunday after trying to bring Terri Schiavo Easter communion. per cnn... ALLAHASSEE, Florida (CNN) -- Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said on Sunday there is nothing else he can do to save Terri Schiavo's life. "I cannot violate a court order," Bush said after returning to the Governor's Mansion from Easter Sunday church services. "I don't have powers from the United States Constitution or -- for that matter from the Florida Constitution -- that would allow me to intervene after a decision has been made." To Terri Schiavo's parents -- who have said Bush should do more to help their daughter -- the governor said: "I can't. I'd love to, but I can't." The governor has been under public pressure from Bob and Mary Schindler, parents of the 41-year-old brain-damaged woman, and many religious groups to intervene further in the case. On Thursday, a Florida state judge denied a petition by Gov. Bush and the state Department of Children and Families to take Schiavo into state custody. (Full story) The Florida Supreme Court dismissed on Saturday -- for the second time in a week -- an emergency petition by the Schindlers to have their daughter's feeding tube reconnected. "I'm sad that she's in the situation that she's in," Bush said, commenting publicly on the case for the first time since Thursday. "I feel bad for her family. My heart goes out to the Schindlers and, for that matter, to [her husband] Michael [Schiavo]," Bush said. "This has not been an easy thing for any, any member of the family. But most particularly for Terri Schiavo."

He should declare Marshall Law.
The sheriff and his deputies would then be private citizens.
This problem is solved.
Next?
what risk?
We're positively drowning in overboardness it seems to me. Sheesh.
stupid post of the day award.
Jeb has been fighting this battle for years, being essentially a lightening rod all the way. He could have dropped the issue long ago. This is not the way of a weak man.
People want Jeb to violate a court order and vilify him for not doing so, while they sit comfortably behind their keyboards. The option to put up or shut up is available to any Freeper, of course.
Too long the Executive and Legislative branches of our government, both state and federal, have let the judiciary branch usurp their authority.
The judiciary is only to interpret the law within the bounds of the Constitution. The Executive and Legislative branches have conceded to them the power to make and enforce law by Judaical decree also, especially on any hot button moral issues.
The system is way out of balance. They need to take a stand and quit rolling over and playing dead.
They can start by impeaching a few of these judges who over step their authority by making law and ordering police action.
The judge that refused to follow their directive of the Congress and the President should be standing in front of the Senate next week.
Make sure you crown him first.
Am I the only one getting a little worried about FR these days?
Many Freepers went overboard on this issue quite a while ago. You probably didn't see the thread where somebody photoshopped Terri onto a picture of Jesus on the cross.
Awesome post, thank you.
Or, you could save the baby yourself.
Nah.
I was shaking my head at that same thing. We're our own worst enemy sometimes.
And Rush also said Jeb doesn't have the authority. He shot down a couple people who wanted Jeb to send in the natl guard.
That certainly was a creepy thing to say. I guess she's "beautiful" to him because his death agenda is progressing nicely.
BUMP!
Most definitely not.
Like every religion, we have our share of schismatics ;-)
While I can misunderstand something someone said, I generally don't.
I am researching it now.
