If it were one of the bushes daughter you can bet this would not have happened to them.

Prove that accusation.

If you can't back it up, you have no right to make a charge of that seriousness.

mountaineer, I am beginning to believe that most of these emotional recent sign on posters are ALL from DU.

None of them seem to be able to think straight.

You know how deep my faith is, and how strongly I believe in life, and I have been under attack from these folks for days.

You've been around longer than I. Is this onslaught of irrationality going to pass, or are those of us who maintain our ability to reason going to have to stay in hiding?

SM: is it my imagination or do breaking threads that
SUPPORT Terri going home with the Schindlers get KNOCKED OUT
of the sidebar fairly quickly?

Meanwhile ANYTHING breaking that favors Felos/Greer/Michael, like this OLD news, sticks around for days.

I know of at least TWO pro-Terri breaking-news threads newer than this one that were moved out. So why does THIS one remain?

This was old news. The Schindlers changed their minds OR the original Yahoo story was wrong.

It will pass, but not before it's hurt a lot of feelings and done some damage to our credibility (by "our," I don't mean only FR, but the Republican party, conservatives in general and evangelical Christian conservatives). A lot of reasonable people are in hiding, waiting out the storm, believe me!

you like I am very pro life...but me and some other fine folk battled these same emotion filled anarchist that wanted to storm the hospice and claim all the Bush's are cowards.......they think they are finer contstitutional scholars than those that surround the Pres and Gov.....I know some mean well, but they give ammo to those on the left that think the "religious right" are loonies......I prayed long and hard about this, but in the end, to interject into states rights or throw law and order out the window is mindless emotion running rough shod over clear and reasoned thinking.......

That's what I worry about most.......that these 'evangelical Christian conservatives' will do more damage to the cause of LIFE than can be repaired.

That's why I'm such a skeptic. I assume many, or most of them are wolves in sheep's clothing.........moveon.org types who are trying to sound like conservatives.

I know a whole lot of Christians, and I know some who are frustrated that Jeb can't do anything and WISH he could, but not one of them has expressed the vitriol I've seen here on FR.

I just don't think these folks are the real McCoy..........

Exactly........it's emotion running roughshod over clear and reasoned thinking, as well as our Constitution and laws.

It has nothing to do with Jeb's not wanting to, nor having the courage to save Terri. It has to do with his having many legal advisors going through Florida law to find any loophole (that won't be filled with another Greer decision) that can help him take custody of her, and the fact of the matter that there is none......at least none that they have found yet.

It's tragic, but it's the law that must be changed. It's the judicial dominance that must be stopped. Attacking the Bush's will do nothing but make the leftists happy.........and I'm sure they're thrilled with some freepers right now........

again, I concur. This tragic episode is testing the principles of our party......I'm just flabbergasted at some of the BS some here would advocate to get their way...The law is the law and we can't just chuck it out the window. Remember when Mayor Newsome married all the gay couples because of his "moral" convictions.....we were screaming bloody murder and he was spanked by the court.......but now that some here want to use "moral" conviction to circumvent the law......well than it is ok?????....You, me and many others actually think NOT

Well, if these guys are trolls, as I suspect many are, they were probably in agreement with the 'good' Mayor of San Francisco's taking the law into his own hands.....

I know a few really are, but I seriously doubt the conservatism of many who have been yelling the loudest around here.

I kind of agree.....I have met some religious zealots along the way......and some here almost remind me of a milder or tamer example of a "christian abortion doctor killer"...maybe they won't go that far but their judgment is ruled by the same lines......I sure hope you are right but even though not as bad nor not as numerous, there are some fringe extremists inhabiting the ranks....either way, you and mounntaineer seem reasonable about it along with several FReepers I met Saturday night battling those that would take the law in their own hands.......hell, look at the spokesman Randall Terry, he made no friends on our side with his rhetoric

Gee and you think the bushes daughters had the same legal penalty that everyone else did when then were in trouble for boozing it up! Boy wake up.And stop attacking others faith. You may have to answer one day for that. MCD

I want facts, not your guesses.

Give me facts to back up your accusation that Jeb Bush would break the law to save anyone's life, and not Terri's. It is a serious accusation, and it behooves you to back it up with evidence.

And I have not once attacked another's faith. Never.

There are absolutely extremists among us, NorCal, and a whole lot of us who are emotionally distraught about the legal murder of Terri Schiavo, but the evil ones at DU often pose as freepers and try to roil the waters, and exaggerate the differences among us.

They've been around here in droves over the past week.........and many should be getting tired of it and leaving soon, IMO.

So you are telling me that he would not do more to save his own daughter? When so many parents say they would never allow this to happen to their children, he would.

And other thing you seem to forget that by state law DFS is suppose to go in and protect Terri. This is not being done because of judge Greer. So who is breaking the law?

Another decision of his cost another woman her life when he refuse to grant her a restraining order against her husband. This case stinks and the judge refuses to open the records.

And I love the fact some people think that if I became a judge I would rule over a President, Governor and could change the laws at my whim.

More will be expected of those who are given more.

And you did insult freecopper01 and accused her of being a troll, while you profess yourself to be such a good Christian.

I asked freecopper questions based on the contentiousness and arrogance of his/her post to me to try to find out if he/she was a Christian or one of the many 'posers' who've been hanging around here lately.

That is not attacking his/her faith......it is trying to find out the genuineness of someone I don't know.

I noticed he/she never answered.

As for the rest of your post, it's nothing but supposition and personal opinion. There's not even anything in it to reply to, other than this.......according to Robert Bork, the Governor of Florida has no legal option here to intervene. We may wish he did, but that doesn't change the laws as they presently exist in Florida.

To fix the problem, the laws need to be changed, so that this never happens again.

Please tell me what makes you the judge of the genuineness of her /his faith?

And just because a person isn't in love with the Bushes and willing to accept all that they do does not make them less of a Christian than you.

Why should freecopper bother wasting time responding to you, when have decided it is up to you to judge his/her faith.

The Lord knows each and every heart. And He also knows yours and mine. He know who desires to see truth and those who shut their eyes and close their ears to truth.

When someone questions my Christianity (as copper did), I am at liberty to assess whether or not it's coming from a legitimate source. I don't know this person from Adam (or Eve), so it was fair for me to ask.

I am not "judging" her faith. I'm skeptical because the tone of her post to me was far from Christian..........and it has nothing in the world to do with the Bush family.

You are pulling your "because a person isn't in love with the Bushes" nonsensical accusation out of thin air. The genuineness of one's faith has absolutely nothing to do with liking or not liking the Bush family.......and it's silly for you to accuse me of thinking that.

I don't make any claims to see into a person's heart. Obviously I cannot do that...........nor can you.

(If you are buddies with copper, why don't you ask her for me why she didn't reply to my post).

Gondring, you haven't even lived yet. Otherwise, you'd know that things are not always what they seem, and most of all, you'd know that the very thing you scorn and ridicule, will one day, happen to you.

What are you saying here...?

I think I've been far closer than the majority of FReepers. It's tough, but a person doesn't have to be a jerk about things and take it out on others.
