Bob and Mary Schindler, both practicing Catholics, urged dozens of supporters gathered outside the Florida hospice where Schiavo is being cared for to go home for Easter.
"The family would request that everyone go home, be with your children, hold them close and share every moment you have with them," said Brother Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who is a spiritual adviser to the Schindlers.
It was not clear if the Schindlers had finally abandoned all legal avenues in their fight to restart their 41-year-old daughter's feeding, a cause that embroiled the Florida legislature, the U.S. Congress and President Bush.

MIAMI - Hours after a judge ordered that Terri Schiavo wasn't to be removed from her hospice, a team of Florida law enforcement agents were en route to seize her and have her feeding tube reinserted - but they stopped short when local police told them they would enforce the judge's order, The Miami Herald has learned.
Agents of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement told police in Pinellas Park, the small town where Schiavo lies at Hospice Woodside, that they were on the way to take her to a hospital to resume her feeding.
For a brief period, local police, who have officers around the hospice to keep protesters out, prepared for what sources called a showdown.
In the end, the state agents and the Department of Children and Families backed down, apparently concerned about confronting local police outside the hospice.
"We told them that unless they had the judge with them when they came, they were not going to get in," said a source with the local police.
"The FDLE called to say they were en route to the scene," said an official with the city police who requested anonymity. "When the Sheriff's Department, and our department, told them they could not enforce their order, they backed off."
What don't you understand about a possible confrontation between two law enforcement agencies and a throg of supporters being a bad idea maybe even a deadly equation?

Eventually, in the classic fashion of The Zealot, they get so emotionally wrapped up in their opinions, that not only will facts not change their mind, they will attack those who brought the facts to the foreground, and eventually, they feel morally superior, and once they claim the moral high ground, well, their ego is completely wrapped up in being right, no matter what.
I concider myself to be a classical liberal, that makes me a conservative by today standards.
They don't care how many people have to die, if "it saves just one woman..."

again......morally against abortion myself but guess what, it is legal here........so we change the laws and don't shoot abortion clinic doctors....you keep substituting your moral convictions for the law......they are fine and indeed noble, but if they are not the law, they have no legal precedent to proceed.....so now we are worse than the Nazi's????????

Someone who was obsessed with Pvt. Jessica Lynch, who never left a single sentence on the topic unanswered. After many battles with Chad, me, and a few others, it was discovered that he was into some racist stuff and he was banned.
