Bob and Mary Schindler, both practicing Catholics, urged dozens of supporters gathered outside the Florida hospice where Schiavo is being cared for to go home for Easter.
"The family would request that everyone go home, be with your children, hold them close and share every moment you have with them," said Brother Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who is a spiritual adviser to the Schindlers.
It was not clear if the Schindlers had finally abandoned all legal avenues in their fight to restart their 41-year-old daughter's feeding, a cause that embroiled the Florida legislature, the U.S. Congress and President Bush.

>>>This was a trap laid years in advance. The statute on end-of-life care was amended, through the work of a cabal of euthanasia activists, in 1999--with the signature of Jeb Bush. It legalized all the actions taken by Michael Schiavo. Then Terri was moved into a hospice run by the same cabal of Hemlock Society people, for a trial run of their new law. Their trial run has been a complete success, thanks to the inability of Jeb Bush to punch his way out of a paper bag--and the paper bag is the myth of Judicial Supremacy.<<<
Oh I know that law was passed and who was lobbying feverishly for it? None other than Felos.
Then Jeb signed it.
I still do not place the blame at the feet of W or Jeb, they tried to save her but the courts ruled the other way.
There are probably a lot of people in Florida dying from dehydration tonight.
Jeb has to draw the line somewhere, he is the Governor of all people not just Terri Schindler.
He has to run the state after this is all over with as he was elected to do. Honestly he cannot get into a big battle with the courts and legislature over this and risk impeachment for violating a court order. Also, if he did get Terri, he still would have to prove to a court that she needs to be in the custody of the state. You see how the courts are ruling.
I am saddened beyond belief about how this all played out.

Yeah, you are right. Surreal isn't it?
I hope it makes me appreciate the Lord Jesus more tommorrow while I am at church(and every where else for that matter).

"Frankly when I saw her ... she looked beautiful. In all the years I've seen Mrs. Schiavo, I've never seen such a look of peace and beauty upon her. Mrs. Schiavo's death is not imminent by any means," he [Felos] said. I responded much like you did in your post. What a orifice he is, even moreso than the average leftist attorney.
Bobby Schindler, Terri's brother, challenged Felos to allow video of Terri to be shown if she is thriving like that.
Essentially, Felos is calling the Schindlers liars for saying she is suffering. If a family member had said Terri had "a look of peace and beauty upon her, " he would have countered that it was all in his/her imagination, and that any such look was involuntary and coincidental.
Illegitimate rodents.

Well it's been stated before, but a caller into Laura was disgusted the Pope was still hanging on.
Very sick people and I urge them to keep speaking. As each day of terri being starved to death continues I want America to hear these people. I want them to recoil. I want them to know what they were so gullible to approve without understanding the pro-Death chorus driving it.

"Mrs. Schiavo was given communion just prior to removal of the tube."
It's not the same thing, but the nuances would be lost on most casual observers.

Was Jesus on the cross for 3 or 4 days? Or am I losing it?
I have read historically that some crucifixion victims took a lot longer to die, over a span of some days.

"Actually, the US Marshals won't have to go far, as he has TWO of them guarding him at this minute." I can't find any mention of this in the link you posted. If true, this is scary.

It' sillyon it's face.
If the judiciary enters an order for a specific act to be performed, and the act ordered is specifically declared to be unlawful by statute, is a crime committed when the order is carried out, and if so by whom?

Think of your loved ones, and now tell me, if you can imagine not being able to be with them constantly at the end, when they lay dying....
That is the tradegy, Bob and Mary don't even get to spend all the time they want to, with their little girl...

I bet if you looked closer, you'd find that the judge has immunity from prosecution for actions resultant from his legal rulings, but I don't know that for a fact...

Yes, it IS scary. What kind of nation have we become when making death threats against judges is acceptable?

I've just sent this Email to the governor/pretender in Tallahassee:
(pardon the capitals, I need to vent)
GOVERNOR, THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO ACT LIKE A MAN.
A STATE OF INSURRECTION EXISTS IN PINELLAS COUNTY.
A CIRCUIT COURT PROBATE JUDGE HAS DEFIED YOU AND ORDERED YOUR DEPARTMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT TO STAND DOWN.
HE CAN NOT DO THIS.
HE HAS NO AUTHORITY OVER THE STATE POLICE AND MAY NOT IMPEDE THEM IN THEIR DUTIES TO PROTECT THE CITIZENS OF FLORIDA.
HE HAS NO AUTHORITY OVER YOUR DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, AND MAY NOT IMPEDE THEM IN THEIR STATUTORY DUTIES TO PROTECT A VULNERABLE AND ABUSED ADULT.
YOU MUST DECLARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY IN PINELLAS COUNTY TONIGHT.
GET ON THE PHONE TO THE FLORIDA NATIONAL GUARD, GET SOME TANKS AND ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIERS, AND GET DOWN TO THAT HOSPICE TONIGHT!
CALL AHEAD AND ORDER THE SHERIFF TO STAND DOWN OR HAVE HELL TO PAY.
AND REHYDRATE THAT INNOCENT WOMAN AND GET HER OUT OF THERE, AND INTO YOUR PROTECTIVE CUSTODY!!!
LET THE CHIPS FALL WHERE THEY MAY.
YOUR PRIMARY DUTY AS GOVERNOR IS TO PROTECT HER INALIENABLE RIGHT
TO LIFE UNDER THE FLORIDA CONSTITUTION.

In his own voice, Rush played the tape.
Dr. Death. GMA interviewed him last week from his jail cell to get his opinion on whether what the President and Congress did was constitutional!
That man epitomizes evil.

I don't understand this ''husband''! How is her receiving communion going against his wishes she be put to death? How would this hurt him? This is beyond belief!
To: Moxie18
Sorry, wrong link I think.
Try this one.
"Greer has been under 24-hour protection by two U.S. marshals due to increased threats against his life by those unhappy with his handling of the Schiavo case."
To: SolomoninSouthDakota
God.
And maybe, just maybe placing our hope in a man was/is part of the problem.
We were without leadership who looked to God for so long, that when one came forth, we looked perhaps, to him for too much.
I'm sad.
Parent's of troops from florida need to bring their boys and girls home before they get harmed. We could end up killing the boys and girls of that state, ourselves.....
Gov. Bush destroyed a life.
President Bush.... I cannot see him, now.
All I see of the Bush Family is the one that willingly allowed a woman to be violated, over and over, and over again.
I no longer see the light of President Bush, at this time.

"I caught a part of a call into the Jerry Agar show in KC, where the guy was going off on how SELFISH the Shindlers were, since there were so many people that Terri could have been helping, if they would only allow her organs to be donated! She was dead anyway, so her organs should have been used to help "the living."A patient must be determined to be clinically brain dead before organs can be harvested. Brain death means cessation of all brain activity, including that of the brain stem. There are very specific clinical observations and tests that must be done to verify brain death. Terri's brain stem was unaffected, so she could not be declared clinically brain dead. However, after Felos succeeds with this case, watch for the pro-euthanasia crowd to press for patients diagnosed as PVS to become eligible as organ donors.
