It is exactly Nazi-like.

Incomprehensible that some deny the similarity.

When speaking of starvation as a tool, it is not right to pass Ukraine, Kuban and other similar places of organized famine in silence. Communist practice predates Nazis', and was more barbarous.

The removal of a nutrition and hydration tube, wrote Judge Lynch of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, would likely create some or all of the following effects before death.

The mouth would dry out and become caked or coated with thick material.
The lips would become parched and cracked.
The tongue would swell, and might crack.
The eyes would recede back into their orbits and the cheeks would become hollow.
The lining of the nose might crack and cause the nose to bleed.
The skin would hang loose on the body and become dry and scaly.
The urine would become highly concentrated, leading to burning of the bladder.
The lining of the stomach would dry out and the sufferer would experience dry heaves and vomiting.
The body temperature would become very high.
The brain cells would dry out, causing convulsions.
The respiratory tract would dry out, and the thick secretions that would
result could plug the lungs and cause death.
At some point within five days to three weeks the major organs, including the lungs, heart, and brain, would give out and the patient would die.

USELESS EATERS

Disability as Genocidal Marker in Nazi Germany

The methods used for mass extermination in the Nazi death camps originated and were perfected in earlier use against people with physical, emotional, and intellectual disabilities. Developed from the article by Dr. Mark Mostert, this website describes the historical context of attitudes toward people with disabilities in Germany and how this context produced mass murder of people with disabilities prior to and during the early years of World War II.

Good read, nicely argued. It has been a long time since I have relegated the NYTs exclusively to packing material. I would bet that should they one day screw up and invert the printing; it would be weeks before anyone noticed.

Death by starvation instead of gas chamber was the penalty for people trying to escape Auschwitz

Nazis Used Starvation to Kill

They still do.

(insert picture #2 of judge jerking feeding tube from Terry)

What's the difference between picture #1 and picture #2?

DEMOCRATS ELECT GAY-FRIENDLY DEAN AS CHAIRMAN

* * *

Democrats are not for gay marriage, but "we are the party that has always believed in equal rights under the law for all people," he said.

"We are the party of moral values," Dean said. "There is nothing moral about cutting 300 million dollars that is used to feed starving children."

"In fact, they allege that such victims begin to experience "euphoria” as the victims draw close to death."

Because endomorphins bombard your brain, just like when you're having an orgasm! Sounds great!

Could an appeal be made that starving Terri violates the Geneva convention? Humanitarian organizations must be given access to provide food and water.

if there was a big plate of food infront of Terri....would she be able to eat it on her own? Would she even know the food is there in the first place?

Tell me where this falls -- into what category?
Like; Terry Schiavo was not physically in peril and her health was stable, while she quietly lived at the hospice. Which should, have been a nursing facility, instead. So what, I ask you, was the conditions or reason (motive) to just arbitrarily up and one day to pull the plug? (starve her to death at someone's convenience....)

I used to feel sorry for starving Africans until this past week when one physician after another said death by starvation is very peaceful and painless. This must mean the so called Holocaust survivors were lying when describing the agony of starvation. Hmm, if they lie about that they'll lie about anything. Perhaps the Holocaust really didn't occur.

No need for feelings of sorrow for this guy. He's experiencing peace and comfort.

What's the big deal? Haven't the liberals been telling us how "euphoric" people are as they are starved to death? Seems to me the Nazis were being exceedingly kind to let them die that way. </dripping sarcasm>

Starvation has always been the historically preferred means used by a group of people who want to engage in a policy of killing others but who want to also engage in the sophistry of non-responsibility for the killing.

I predict that because of this new legal precedent, there will now commence a parade of people suing in court to force the nursing home to stop feeding Uncle Fred who had a stroke, or Aunt Mabel who is in the last stages of Alzheimer's, and all to end the suffering of their loved ones.

This new precedent also opens the way for next of kin to get more of their inheritance from Fred and Mabel instead of it going to the evil, greedy nursing homes, though the lawyers are all going to want their cut, too.

I suppose now that liberals have come in in favor of starvation as a means of humanitarian murder, we may safely ignore them when they ask for money for people starving in the Third World.

Oh, wait...

The internationally-accepted Geneva Convention – which identifies starvation as a war crime – also will have to be rewritten. Ditto for many statements made by reputable organizations – many of them liberal, who have condemned the practice for decades.

This is so sad. I pray God will take vengeance on all who have participated in killing this woman. Vengeance belongs to God, he will repay.

Anne Frank and her sister Margot were weak from starvation during their last days in their concentration camp, which made them susceptible to typhus. A witness who survived reported that the sisters were seen holding onto each other and crying. That was the last time they were seen alive.

Starvation is an ugly, inhuman process. If anyone leaks a picture of Terry Shiavo, the Left will be discredited forever.

And the pathetic morons actually want to take that bet.

Confounding all conventional wisdom and human experience, many liberal groups and even some medical experts have argued for Terri Schiavo’s death.

Once they saw the Bush brothers wanted to spare her life, many liberal groups decided she should die.

It conformed to conventional wisdom and human experience.
