And it's MISS!
That Terri said, "No tubes for me" is purely heresay evidence presented long after Michael Schiavo had already confessed that he didn't know what to do and that, "we never discussed this."
I wonder if the courts of Florida have plans for getting rid of all the disabled.
I guess Felos will ignore anything that would put his an his client's actions in a bad light---
I stand corrected. Thank you, MISS Adams. :o)
Well sure since he's looking at her through $$$-tinted glasses.
re: it's all too nice and neat
You would think that in 10 plus years at least ONE decision would go for the family, or the judge would have told the husband 'no', but that just doesn't seem to be the case. I cannot recall a single ruling in the family's favor. Something really stinks about all this. I fear we will never know though because any investigative reporter that might take a good hard look is probably MSM and biased against the family anyway.
Is this it? I added some more I like. I am a CS Lewis fan. He helped to bring me back to God...
"No man knows how bad he is till he has tried very hard to be good...Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is...All this trying leads up to the vital moment at which you turn to God and say, 'You must do this. I can't. It is the change from being confident about our own efforts to the state in which we despair of doing anything for ourselves and leave it to God...(when) What we should have liked would be for God to count our good points and ignore our bad ones. " --Mere Christianity
"You never know how much you really believe anything until its truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death to you." --A Grief Observed
"Right actions done for the wrong reason do not help build the internal quality or character...We might think that God wanted simply obedience to a set of rules whereas He really wants people of a particular sort." --Mere Christianity
You were never a big supporter of President Bush, so, your post, in my view is meaningless.
It appears you're getting too wound up (for me) to have a conversation with about this subject...
Take care
It'll brighten up the White House staff meetings.
He sure did Leni. Thanks.
Good for you and the other politically irrelevant amongst you. You have no voice in elected officials but at least you can pontificate your meaningless points here...
So, you think that judicial appointments are politically irrelevent? Oooookay, if you really believe that, then you have no real cause to bitch about judicial tyranny.
One would think that, based on the whole Terri SHiavo fiasco, that the appointment of good judges would be at the top of the priority list...
Now I feel silly for even bringing it up. /sarcasm
I think it is obvious, by now, that is never going to happen. I have to question if she is even still alive at this point.
Well one thing we do know for sure. No matter what courts say, many people on this forum are okay with it. In fact they'll trash anyone who objects. When that mentality takes over, ANYTHING is possible.
Not silly -irrelevent --as in politically nothing, as in libertarian, democrat and the like...
No, that's not it, but it also fits what I was trying to say. I think the quote I was thinking of may have been from a letter rather than a book or essay, and I'm pretty sure he used the word "humility" or "humble."
I'm a C.S. Lewis fan, too, and for the same reason as you -- he helped bring me back to God. One day we'll be able to tell him thanks.
Or an act of a determined family who simply will not allow her to die. Allowing her to die because they don't want to get into trouble is unconscionable.
That's because it doesn't make a hill of beans worth of difference.
Might be good for a laugh though.
