Oh, I do agree, but that doesn't mean that Greer HAD to reject it. I beleive it took him all night to come up the justification.
I won't even address your other false claims, but your claim that FR tolerates advocation of violence needs to be rejected and corrected.
Early on, Jim Robinson specifically posted a warning, that anyone advocating violence will have their account suspended, and no calls for violence have been tolerated. I have not seen a single post like that -- either nobody made them, or the AMs pulled them immediately.
You should be ashamed of yourself, making such false claims against FR.
Googled Section Two of the FL constitution yet, Chad?
Sure that point exists. THe point is way off though.
You can be guaranteed that the law in Florida will be dealt with, to make sure this type of travesty never happens again - THAT is where our fight should go, not into senseless violence.
It's up to the voters in Florida now to change the law that allowed Terri to be murdered. It's up to them to vote out the judge that allowed it to happen. That type of change is still possible - but it actually has to be done.
When we no longer can effect change legally, the time for extreme measures is there. We are not at that point yet.
Ooops, there's that word you are trapped with!
Well said!
If we give God something to work with - obeying His Word - then He intervenes. He doesn't do the work HE commanded us to do....give water to the thirst, etc., etc.
We were given the opportunity for Him to display His "extraordinary" AFTER we do our part. We didn't step out in faith.
There you go again........"hypocrite".
Of course.
I haven't either. Not a one.
The only violence I've seen advocated here has been against Terri (if you consider what is happening to her now to be "violence", which I absolutely do).
Just as soon as they finish Terri off.
You better believe it. Judges all over this country are licking their chops over the prospect of being the next one who gets to stick it to the legislative and/or executive branch (be it state OR federal).
Ooops, there you go again!
Come on down to Felos' Hotel Auschwitz for awhile, in front of the armed guards with their snarling German Shepherds...watch the Schindler family come out weeping from visiting Terri, where she is being killed by thirst, and where they can't even offer her a damp rag for her cracked and bleeding lips or her swollen tongue, and let's see how emotional YOU get.
If you don't have emotions over this one, man, you have no emotions left...
It's not tolerated, but it is happening. With increasing frequency - though it's become more subtle.
People are also posting about how they "hope someone takes out Michael SHiavo" - that, too, is advocating violence...
People are posting how they hope "someone goes after Greer" - that, too, is advocating violence...
Those are examples just from this thread.
Conservatives are demanding the intervention of the UN - an organization that on any other day would draw boos and hisses from us... That is irrational thinking, but it is more and more prevelent...
We have conservativbes claiming that America is now a NAzi country - irrational, but it's happening. Is that what Free Republic want's to be know for? I'd hate to see us marginalized like that, and I don't think Jim would like to see that either.
Why you felt the need to add Jim to this thread is beyond me. I've been pretty accurate in
I want Terri Schiavo to live, but this misguided effort to take down George W. and Jeb Bush is wrong.
God also requires us to move. And we are responsible for that. God can tell Moses to lead the people; but, if Moses doesn't move, the people go nowhere.
I believe you believe that.
I also believe you couldn't be more wrong.
The next time a travesty like this happens, it will be a fraction of the story it is now. Just like Columbine vs. last week's school massacre.
I have no doubt Judge Greer can find an excuse to exclude anything, including allegations central to the whole thesis of why this poor woman can be starved in such a cruel fashion.
He seems hell-bent on killing Mrs. Schiavo, to the point that he has now defied the Congress, the President, and the Governor. Daggone if he hasn't done better at that than I would have ever thought any probate judge could, but when all of the judiciary seems to see things your way, you can do a lot, it appears.
